Hello everyone
Couple of weeks ago I was sharing some channels that really helped me with my Spanish. I wanted to post them to here to help others as well. Conversational Spanish is achievable, you can do one step at a time. All of the channels are on youtube -the language bro (has a complete Spanish grammar video) -Qroo Paul Spanish (has lots free videos on his channel especially once you are advancing to the subjunctive) I am also part of his private channel and that’s well worth the price too. -how to Spanish(intermediate podcast) -Espanolistos (couple from Columbia, helps with listening to natural conversation) -Anytime Espanol(focuses on Mexican Spanish and they create lessons for intermediate/advance student) -my Spanish flow(one of the first people I started listening to once I got serious about Spanish) *even if you are beginner beginner still make it a habit to watch this people. Make Spanish a part of your life. In time you will find the ones you like the best as you learn along the way. Good luck on your journey let me know if you have any further questions. Happy to help.

📘 This Week’s Class Recap + Recording Available 🎥
This week we celebrated El Día del Amor y la Amistad 💕 and talked about how we express affection in Spanish and in our cultures. Good news 👉 the class recording is available! If you missed it or want to review pronunciation and examples, go watch it 🙌 💬 Topics we covered: • How to talk about gifts and celebrations • Useful expressions like: Vale la pena, No me importa, Prefiero, Me encanta • How to express affection in different cultures I also shared about “la sobremesa” in the mexican culture, you can read about it here: https://www.foodandwine.com/sobremasa-8670516 🔥 Quick Note About Challenges I completely forgot to talk about the weekly challenges in class 😅 Please go ahead and post your challenge for this week in the community! 📲 Choose something realistic and simple: – Listen to Spanish 20 minutes daily – Practice speaking 3 times this week – Write 5 sentences daily – Learn 10 new words Post it so we can support and motivate each other 💛 🎶 Song of the Week This week’s recommendation is: “Las Palabras Que No Sientes” – Mora Lucay MORA LUCAY - LAS PALABRAS QUE NO SIENTES Listen to it during the week 🎧Try to catch words like: amor, sentir, corazón, palabras… Pay attention to pronunciation and emotions in the lyrics — it connects beautifully with our theme of expressing affection 💕 If you missed class, go watch the recording and tell us in the comments: 💬 What kind of gifts do you like? 💬 How do you express affection in your culture? 💬 Do you like celebrating Valentine’s Day or does it feel too commercial? So proud of the conversations today 🫶 keep practicing — little by little, it all adds up.

It was good to learn, for example, to use ‘casi siempre’ instead of ‘usualmente’…Thanks Mady!

I will try to make this noon class schedule, but since we are being asked for input, I would prefer an earlier class time; one that ends by 11AM. Thank you though, @Madeline Ayala, for whatever time you’re able to offer this service! 🙏🏽
✨ This Saturday’s live class (small schedule change!) ✨
📅 Quick update for just this Saturday We’ll still have our live Spanish class this Saturday Feb 14th 🎉 🕚 11:00 AM (EST) instead of 12:00 PM this week because I have an appointment. This week’s topic is LIKES, DISLIKES & OPINIONS, using Valentine’s Day as inspiration 💕 We’ll practice sounding more natural and confident when sharing opinions, even with simple sentences. 🧠 What we’ll practice - Me gusta / No me gusta - Me encanta / Odio - Prefiero - Pienso que / Creo que 🗣️ How the class will work I’ll start with a short explanation and model answers. Then, you’ll ask and answer questions with others, so everyone practices speaking and listening.🙌 💬Questions for this Saturday’s Valentine’s Day class 💖 1. ¿Qué tipo de regalos te gustan más y por qué? (What kind of gifts do you like the most and why?) 2. ¿Cómo te gusta celebrar ocasiones especiales como el día del amor o la amistad? (How do you like to celebrate special occasions like Valentine’s Day?) 3. ¿Qué es algo que no te gusta del día del amor o la amistad o que te da igual?(What is something you don’t like or don’t care about on Valentine’s Day?) 4. ¿Cómo expresas cariño en tu cultura? (How do you express affection in your culture?) 5. Escribe una pequeña historia, recuerdo o momento bonito/divertido sobre el amor o la amistad. (Write a short story, memory, or a nice/funny moment about love or friendship.) ✍️ Respond at your own level. A short answer or a longer idea is totally fine. 🔥 Weekly Personal Challenge You’ll continue working on the weekly challenge, be ready to share your new weekly challenge and how did it go last week 💪 ⏰ Time: Saturday – 11:00 PM EST 📍 Where: Online — the link is here in Skool or message me and I’ll send it to you.
