Who am I?
Good afternoon! My name is Victoria (I go by Vee) and I’m from the United States. I would say I’m close to an intermediate level in Spanish. I started learning Spanish because my son is part Mexican, and I want him to be able to communicate with my husband’s side of the family in Spanish. My goal for the next three months is to speak more Spanish with my son throughout the day and continue improving my fluency.

Hola a todos!
I’m Deiondra, but you can call me Dede. I’m interested in the world of remote work and enjoy travel, and I’m looking forward to connecting, learning, and sharing with you all here. If anyone ever needs a cruise recommendation or wants to chat about entrepreneurship, I’m your person! I joined this community to improve my Spanish and become conversational ASAP. It’s always been a goal of mine to master Spanish. I used Duolingo for a while, then stopped, and now I’m looking for other avenues and ways to learn and practice this lovely language.
Hola a todos!
Hey y'all!!! (New Member)
I'm very excited to learn Spanish with y'all! I'm a beginner and grew up hearing Spanish from family and friends. It was also my grandma's first language and unfortunately I was never taught but I'm excited to start learning with people who have the same goals! I have a couple of things/learning tools I'd like to share! The Language Tutor - is a teacher on YouTube who I've been watching. He's really good and the videos are about 15 mins! I suggest looking into it as he's very helpful! He does have a website that put the videos in order it's completely FREE! I know this is SUPER kiddie but I also watch this little Boy group from Mexico called "PICUS" They make music and vlogs (Luigi y Tony) I love watching their videos because i get to hear them talk at their pace and it's just fun to listen, learn and watch! I watched "La casa de papel" on Netflix in Spanish and although it's Spain Spanish and a bit different. I could still understand them, still fun for practice. • La casa de las flores is a good one I'm really enjoying it! It's on Netflix! • Coco in Spanish • "Spanish with Nate" on YouTube he's pretty fun to watch as well! I also recently bought a game called "yo sabo" on Amazon it's a fun vocabulary game that tests you on words like animals, objects, people! FluentU on YouTube has some great videos! They show clips of shows in Spanish with subtitles then they show it with translations line by line. LYRICFLUENT is fun to play with too. Conjuegemos.com is also great tool! LanguageTransfer app I unfortunately work this Saturday (14th) so I won't be able to join BUT I hope I can make the next Saturday Class!
Hello everyone
Couple of weeks ago I was sharing some channels that really helped me with my Spanish. I wanted to post them to here to help others as well. Conversational Spanish is achievable, you can do one step at a time. All of the channels are on youtube -the language bro (has a complete Spanish grammar video) -Qroo Paul Spanish (has lots free videos on his channel especially once you are advancing to the subjunctive) I am also part of his private channel and that’s well worth the price too. -how to Spanish(intermediate podcast) -Espanolistos (couple from Columbia, helps with listening to natural conversation) -Anytime Espanol(focuses on Mexican Spanish and they create lessons for intermediate/advance student) -my Spanish flow(one of the first people I started listening to once I got serious about Spanish) *even if you are beginner beginner still make it a habit to watch this people. Make Spanish a part of your life. In time you will find the ones you like the best as you learn along the way. Good luck on your journey let me know if you have any further questions. Happy to help.
