Your timeline is full of nulls: camera controllers, position rigs, expression helpers. You need them, but you don't need to stare at them while you animate. NULL VIS is a tiny After Effects panel with one eye button: - Click it, and every null in the active comp is hidden. - Click again, and they're back exactly as they were. Nulls you had switched off yourself stay off. - Tick Shy, and the nulls also disappear from the timeline list. - Optional: include nested precomps (in the "…" menu). The state is stored inside the comp, so it survives saving and reopening the project. Undo and Redo work. 📦 INSTALL (Windows and Mac) 1. Download the zip below and unzip it somewhere permanent. 2. Quick try: File → Scripts → Run Script File… → src/NULL VIS.jsx 3. Dockable panel: copy NULL VIS.jsx into the ScriptUI Panels folder (Windows: Program Files/Adobe/Adobe After Effects <version>/Support Files/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels · Mac: Applications/Adobe After Effects <version>/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels), restart AE and open Window → NULL VIS. 💡 GOOD TO KNOW - Restore before you duplicate a comp that's currently hidden. - With Shy on, AE also hides other layers you had already marked Shy. - Tested on After Effects 2026 (Windows). Should work on AE 2022 and newer. On a Mac? Tell me if it works for you. Free for personal and client projects. Please don't re-upload or resell it. Share the link to the Lab instead.
