You build a great transition, a lower-third stack or a sound-design hit… and two weeks later you rebuild it from scratch, because finding the old project takes longer. DejaCut is a small Premiere panel that keeps those edits ready to reuse: 🎬 Select clips on your timeline, click Save selection. Done, no dialogs. You get a card with a looping preview. 🎬 Place the playhead, click the card. The cut drops in as a Nest on free tracks above your edit, in any project. 🎬 Need to tweak it? Open its sequence, change it, Save changes. The library keeps the new version. 🎬 One library for all your projects: search, favourites, collections. 🎬 Export a pack: one .dejacut file with the media inside, ready to send to another editor. ⚠️ It's a beta. Back up important projects before you try it. INSTALL (Windows, Premiere Pro 2026) 1. Download the zip below and unzip it to a normal folder. 2. Close Premiere, double-click Install-DejaCut-BETA.cmd. It's an unsigned beta, so the installer asks to switch on Adobe's CEP debug mode (needed to load unsigned panels). Say yes to install. 3. Start Premiere, open a project, then Window → Extensions → DejaCut Beta. Dock it next to your timeline. GOOD TO KNOW • Tested on Premiere Pro 2026 26.5.2 (Windows): save, insert, edit, packs, reopening projects, install/update/uninstall. • Not tested yet: Mac, Premiere Beta, very large projects. • Renaming a card: click into the name field first, then type. • Packs carry your media, not fonts, third-party plugins or Dynamic Link comps. Free for personal and client projects. Please don't re-upload or resell it. Share the link to the Lab instead. What would you save first: a transition, a title stack or a sound-design hit? 👇
