Weekend reset, getting ready for Monday....
Hey hey. What is something that happened for you this weekend that helped you reset and be ready to face Monday? Do Mondays bother you? I used to have that sad empty Sunday night feeling when Monday was coming around. This was in my past life a few decades ago when I was working corporate and hadn't found my way into counseling yet. Even though at that time I loved my job, it was someone else's 9-5. Back in those days you just got a job. I was taught admin/business (from my mom) so I got a corporate job instead of following my heart into teaching, counseling, and mentoring. Derp. When I finally took a soiree into my vocational fields of service - mentoring, counseling and teaching did my Sunday blues go away. For one thing, my calendar went berserk with working overnights in residential treatment, etc, but my love of work became something that fed me, too, even though it was someone else's 9-5 (or 12-12, as the case may be). This weekend something that happened for me that made facing Monday easy - my mom, who has needed 24/hr care for over a year since she had a stroke, spent the weekend in respite so me and my siblings could catch a break. Usually I go to mom's on Sunday night and stay until Tuesday morning. I felt a little sad that I was happy I was not with my mom on Sunday so I could wake up Monday in my own bed. That is something that has only happened twice in over a year. It's the little things. And, sometimes they are bittersweet. Happy Monday everyone!!

I had a great weekend! My sister had care of my mom. So I was gree to enjoy a cookout with my fiancรฉ and a couple that we hadnโ€™t spent time with in years on Saturday, and my son, daughter in law, and grandkids came out for a visit on Sunday. So much fun, and a reminder of what a โ€œnormalโ€ life feels like, and can be again in the future. (Fellow caregivers knowโ€ฆ) ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ’œ

@Alistair Hawkes God Bless you too!
Have you seen this?
First. I'm back. I missed you! ๐Ÿคฉ Next. Have you been able to visit the classroom, yet? In all your free time? When you have lots of energy and just need a little brain food to munch on? Ha ha, I know how busy life is... right now my biggest responsibility is caregiving my mom. I've posted about it before, if you're curious, read here. My next biggest responsibility is probably keeping my therapy business alive while I pivot to doing more online education. I'm promoting a cohort, and taking on new clients for advanced stress management, I'm taking a scaling program (which is winding down and giving me more space), I'm building this community and another one on skool. There's a lot, so my point is - I understand that life is so busy it's tricky to prioritize practice. However... "Real change comes through the application of HIGH Willpower, developed through the discipline of daily practice," as the developer of the HIKE system (taught in our classroom) says loud and often. What are you doing in a disciplined way to apply yourself to your conscious awareness, growth, and evolution? If you would like some great ideas...I know a neat-o place to look. Visit the classroom.
