πŸ’š Sewing a rolled hem - 1. Find scrap piece of fabric
Step 1 - find any piece of fabric - a piece of cotton will do. We are just going to practice the stitch for a rolled hem, so it doesn't need to be a large piece. It just needs to have a corner so we can practice. I will be back tomorrow to show you how to start.

Fabric Formula App - thoughts when watching?
I am building this app to go with the Fabric Formula workshop as an add on. This is a screen recording of it so far. there are bugs and formatting in it that need fixing (eg the colours in 3 times as you will see). This is only a screen recording (no voice, no explanation) - I am curious what your first impressions are, what questions it prompts just watching, would you use it. Assumption when watching 1. You have completed your Fabric Formula workshop, done the quiz and therefore your colour type is loaded. This example shows β€˜Light’. Here goes. https://share.icloud.com/photos/00beQt6_Q36rvHauhQNU0pn_A

@Jane Harbison hey Jane - I thought it was incredible and very comprehensive - the pattern scale and density for body size is really interesting and something I would not have thought of - questions it prompts - after the fab form is completed - what then? - You might need an explanation of what a hue is - or an explanation of colour terminology used throughout somewhere - I would definitely absolutely use it - it has so many uses - I’m thinking for artists it would be a game changer -so many other uses for this - What a talented lady you are 🩡 -

Rejuvenate
What have your reflected on this week?
Friday is for rejuvenating and a great time to look back on the week. Share a win with everyone and cheer each other on. I know this might sound a little clique and everyone is doing it - but everyone is doing it because it matters. My win this week - I am having a chat with a sewing podcaster next week, who I have been listening to for a while now. I am looking forward to talking about creating beautiful well crafted items for the special men in our life. Gives yours a hug if you are near them. Your turn.

Welcome New Members - 65 of us
Thursday we 'Celebrate' our new members. While I like to send each of you a private message when you join it is also nice to announce you to the group as well. So please say Hi to them and help them get off level 1 so they can access the Classroom. So here are our new members since my last 'newbie group welcome': @Auli Takala @Virginia Schobel @Helen Howells @Cassondra Cormier @Cindy Lietz @P Guerrieri @Erica Sandwall @Rosemarie Reynolds @Jana Barthold @Rawan Naser (although they think they might be in the wrong group - still welcome 😁) PleaseΒ introduce yourself here, if you haven't already done so. I’d love to hear… #1 β€” Who are you, where are you from? #2 β€” What’s one thing you’re hoping to learn here? #3 β€” Who do you have in mind for your pocket square? #4 β€” And for fun a GIF of his favourite hobby You have landed in a community that is incredibly warm, curious and quietly creative. People here have an appreciation of excellence and love learning new techniques, playing with fabric and colour and making small, meaningful things for the people they love. I am happy to have you here. Welcome, Jane
