Any fun plans this weekend?
What is everybody up to this weekend? For us, soccer consumes a chunk of every Saturday with our son. ⚽ Then we plan on being outside a lot this weekend - it is gorgeous here (almost 80 degrees right now ☀️)

We just bought a trundle bed and assembled it. Workout for the day, ha ha! We had only one single twin bed in our guest room and everyone ends up on air mattresses when they visit. Now at least the older folks have a bed! 🤣 Young folks still get the air mattresses. 😊
Feel-Good Friday!
Nearly all of us have been here at one point or another - and I mean the people who founded and who work for Lifestyle Evolution, as well as our clients, as well as members of this community. The DIET. I love making diet acronyms: Doing It, Everything's Terrible Don't Indulge! Eating's Tedious Dang, Inconsistent! Eating Tacos I could go on and on! HOWEVER... this cartoon only takes the SHORT view on the situation. First of all, we don't put people on diets. We teach them to eat in accordance with their biology and genetics. If you haven't been eating that way before, sure, you might match this cartoon for a little bit and find it uncomfortable ... until your body realizes you're fueling it properly. But once your body realizes it's getting the fuel, nutrients, and energy it needs? That's another whole different ball game! You will have MORE energy, BETTER mood, BETTER sleep, BETTER outlook, BETTER digestion, BETTER skin, BETTER just about everything. Comics are funny for a reason. If you start a diet in the traditional sense, where you try to shave calories and just work off deprivation, you will feel crappy. And hungry. And deprived. And like a failure, because you will fail. We've all been there, so while we giggle, it's still relatable. It doesn't have to be that way! I love it when our clients lose a ton of weight, and upon reflecting, acknowledge, "It really wasn't that hard and I wasn't hungry." If you can't even imagine losing weight while not being hungry, WELCOME! We're glad you're here. :-)

It has to be going gluten free for me. I've written about this before, but suffice to say the symptoms were so bad that I had heartburn if I took a sip of water, could only eat tiny amounts of food (and never without distension and discomfort), was rapidly losing weight, and had joint pain so bad I was hoping to die. When people say, "Oh, I could never give up bread," my answer is a deadpan, "Yes you could. It just doesn't hurt enough yet." I don't really miss anything. There are acceptable substitutes, and I don't even really desire a sandwich anymore. It's the innards that are so yummy, and that works with many other kinds of "containers!" I post a pic every year on my birthday of me doing a split and a back bend, so that I can remind myself of what being pain free really means, and what low inflammation potentially allows one to do! People ask, "Aren't you tempted to cheat?" Nope.
