Recap: So far - phone remains out of my room at night, done well not eating past 6:30 and we have prepped breakfast and lunch the last two weeks. One task for this week will be to finish up planting my garden and the rest of my flower boxes. I was able to get most of it planted and everything weeded. Hard work but feel good about the progress so far. Also, want to get at least five one mile walks in this week and make that a the next habit to add to the list.

@Sherrie Carroll that’s great. Let the weeding and pruning begin. I’ve been seeing a new doctor. He is a natural path and does not readily prescribe prescription medications, which is what I was looking for. We went over my test results and in the list of changes to incorporate, he gave me one on how to eat and I thought others might benefit. I am a one pot cooker. But he told me it’s best to eat food separately and in a particular order. On a plate - half of it should be green or fibrous vegetables quarter of it should be protein and the other quarter can be like a starch - rice sweet or reg potato or fruit. Cooking with coconut avacado or olive oil for the fat. He said always eat your greens first then your protein and then last year starch or fruit. He told me why but can’t really remember what he said. I’ll start this next week as I have prepped and tossed all into one pot already. 😊

I have been working at my two goals with pretty good success - no late night scrolling to get better rest and no eating after 6:30. Yesterday I prepped breakfast and lunch with with my sons girlfriend for the first time. We both felt energized and committed to making this a weekly practice. It has a double benefit - having healthy meals ready to go and a good time to connect. This will be the third change I intend to make a habit in my health journey. My husband quoted a line in article he read a while back on baseball. It is something I have thought about off and on. "If you want to win, you have to be prepared to win". I now believe that is true for just about anything in life, not just baseball. 😁 Have a great week all.

I am committed to plugging my phone in another room, so I’m not tempted to scroll late at night. I’m also committed to not eating anything after 6 PM.
