I started The Self-Love Scribe because I kept seeing the same quiet struggle in so many women, including myself. Women who are doing their best, caring for everyone else, and still feeling like they’re falling short. Women with a harsh inner critic, little space for rest, and a deep belief that kindness toward themselves has to be earned. My own life forced me to slow down in ways I never planned for. Chronic illness took away the pace I thought defined my worth, and in that slowing, I realized how unkind I had been to myself for years. Not because I didn’t care, but because no one ever taught me another way. This community exists to solve that problem. It’s a place for women who want a gentler relationship with themselves. A space where you don’t have to perform, explain, or be “fixed.” Just a quiet place to return to yourself, one kind moment at a time.

I loved my job. It was rewarding, had great pay and benefits, and I wanted to retire there. But then I had two kids in my 40s during COVID, and everything changed. Suddenly I wanted flexibility more than anything else. I started watching online courses to keep me awake at night while I was taking care of my daughter, and I soon realized that there were a lot of people who had amazing expertise to share, but they didn't know how to package it in a way that would help their students achieve their goals as efficiently and effectively as possible.
