Jewelry box but fairyified 🦋
I’ve been working on this one for a while, but always in intense sessions. It’s a gift for my daughter’s upcoming 13th birthday, so I had to work on it while she was at school. Today was her last day for the summer, so I spent literally 5 hours finishing it all! 🫠 My friend encouraged me to add hidden compartments, and while I had no clue how to do it, I think it turned out well. Almost everything in here has been gathered by me over the years, or made for this project. I tried a few new things, like the potion bottles from beads, and the cauldron from acorn tops. The gobliny looking rocks are agate or agate surrounding stuff (?) from Monty Lake. I imbedded glow in the dark stones into some of the little pockets, and the dots on the mushrooms also glow in the dark. I can’t wait for her to see it!!!

How wonderful! Is she able to put her own things in the drawers? What is the pleated maroon cover in one drawer for?

That is wonderful!
Leftovers
Sometimes when I am completing builds, I will have odds and ends leftover. I like to use them to create something else. Today I used this twig that reminded me of an abandoned stump. The flower pots are made from paper, the nest is dried grass roots. I used a real robin egg in the nest(I just crushed up the shell), the stones and rocks I collected from the beach and for the pumpkin I used polymer clay. I used the spool to give you an idea of scale, I like to refer to it as fairy scale. 😬

How did you get a real Robins egg? You didn’t take one from a nest did you? That is illegal!

@Marcia Cronk- Teha OK, that’s fine! It’s just that I still find some people who don’t know we should not take living things in growth from the wild.
My project
I just put my project in the messages because I couldn’t find this share your project section? How do I copy it into here, or do I have to do it all over again?

@Janet Merz she didn’t ! I think I misunderstand all your American English sometimes! ( I am born and bred English!)
New roof technique!
After covering the body of this house with clay and decorating with windows I wanted to add a roof that was triangular, but still allowed the cap to come off and would work outside. I came up with using drink stirs (smaller than regular wood popsicle sticks) to make the cone framework and then covered with silk leaves and pinecone scales. Easy to screw on and off to add lights inside!

@Erika Hagen if it is air-dry clay it will begin to dissolve in the rain! I tried making some little flower vases with them, but when I put in water they started to turn back into clay and leaked!
Tiny Potion Market Stand ✨🧪🔮🪄
I made another little potion project for the fairyland ✨😊 Like the Potion Lab I built the other day - but this time, I made a tiny potion market stand using just a piece of bark and four twigs for the table. For the potions, I filled small glass bottles with natural materials I found outside - moss, leaves, flowers, and a little water. For some of them, I also used spices to create stronger natural colors. Then I added the bottles to the stand with a bit of moss and a few tiny candles. Such a simple build, but it adds so much magic to a fairy village. If you’re looking for the tiny bottles, you can find them here: MarysFairyland.com/bottles Are you going to try it yourself? I would love to see your version. Mary

I am in the U.K. and have a lifelong passion for miniatures, collecting ideas for a fairies-at-the-bottom of the garden village for my grandchildren
