The transformative power of Meditation 🧘‍♂️
Stop Using Meditation Like a Hack: The Practice That Actually Transforms You. I wanted to talk about what meditation really is (and what it isn’t): not a one-minute technique to optimize your busy life, and not a tool for chasing specific experiences. I share how I started with Transcendental Meditation at 19 to escape suffering and seek enlightenment, and how my first enlightenment teacher reframed meditation in the most helpful way—especially the idea that half of our being resides outside space and time. Why sustained practice (ideally an hour a day, consistently) creates real change by giving access to deeper stillness, balance, intuition, creativity, and a direct connection to peace and what I call your true self—connected with God and unmoving. This clip is taken from our most recent podcast on Meditation and Enlightened Communication. Watch the full episode here. And as always, leave your thoughts, comments or questions below. Your engagement IS the heart of our community ❤️ Love ya! Justin

In practice I have found it difficult to engage in conventional meditation. My ADD very much gets in the way. Gurdjieff's practices helped me here by teaching me to self observe while actually engaging in daily life. When I first applied that it was so powerful that it put me into some kind of continuous trance state, which unfortunately lasted only three days! Practioners say that is a " grace period" before the actual hard work starts. I am still using the same methods, in addition to twin flame catalytic transformation.
Internal path or external path?
The internal path is about understanding the self, the external path is about understanding life, the universe and everything. When I was in my teens I read the book "extraterrestrial civilization" by Stefan Denaerde. a Dutch writer who claimed to have met beings from the planet Iarga. These Iargans are not that different from us. They are not much more advanced than us either. Yet, they have created a paradise world for themselves by simply structuring their society and economy in a certain way(resource based) From my mother's recollections of her own childhood, back in those days everyone was kind and helpful and you could easily just leave your front door open, perfectly safe. This led me to believe, for many decades, that human behaviour could readily be changed simply through environment. Of course, I also had no clue about all the manipulations that are ongoing in our world. Next, for a very long time I fell very much asleep not doing anything much at all with spirituality. This changed when I finally, around 2012 started my esoteric path with the work of Gurdjieff. Humans have almost no free will, he said, Unless we discover our programming we are nothing but automatons. This would point at the internal path to be the dominant one. Its your own mind that keeps you enslaved until as Jung would say "until we make the subconscious conscious it will rule our lives and we will call it fate" In 2014 my twin flame Annie turned up and massively accelerated my transformation. She also brought with her a deep and thorough knowledge of the true nature of the world we live in, something I hitherto did not have a clue at all. How has this been for you all? How are these paths related? Which one did you encounter first? Would you say that pursuing one automatically leads to the other, or is that not a given?
What movie(s) tipped you off?
I loved the movie the Matrix...but another one that I felt like was truth in plain sight was Stargate. I remember I went to see the movie with a friend of mine and by the end my wheels were turning...my friend just thought it was a good movie...oh well. He was deeply entrenched in blue pill world.

No movies "tipped me off" as such, although some books I read back in the 80s sowed some seeds. The trigger for my awakening came much later and it was not a movie. Of course, once on the path at warp 9.6 and upwards, I would pick up all these media references along the way. We are truly in a battlefield of memetic warfare. Both positive and negative sources have influenced the movie landscape. Some try to give us hope for the future(early startrek up to and including TNG), some give us a clue into history (starwars) and some, like the matrix warn us about the world. And then, there are all the negatively oriented ones such as independence day or any of those 13 in a dozen evil alien invasion movies that intend to program us to be scared of our star family.

Nice to meet you! What would you like us to know about you? Write here below a short (or long, why not) intro and for fun take a foto 🖼️ out your window and add it to your post so we can get an idea of where in the world you are. And don't forget to welcome new members so they too feel at home 🤗

Well, I'm Jan. My spiritual story started a bit late, in the early 2010s with Gurdjieffs's 4th way and, indeed, a Reiki initiation by Justin. In 2014 I met my twin flame, now wife, and that set off a very fast inner transformation.

Reiki 1 with Justin around 2013, proceeded using Gurdjieff's Fourth Way system. Met my twin flame in 14 and that has been my spiritual path since.
