Fear is the #1 reason people don’t take action
It’s why they don’t start the business. Why they don’t write the book. Why they don’t put themselves out there in relationships. Fear is what keeps us small. But here’s the thing… Fear was designed to protect us from actual danger: lions, cliffs, oncoming traffic, etc. It wasn’t built to protect us from embarrassment, rejection, or failure. But unfortunately, our brains don’t know the difference. That’s why your body reacts to public speaking like you’re being chased. Fear is an emotion caused by a belief that something is dangerous… But not the danger itself! And because of that, fear feels real even when it isn’t. Most people spend their lives avoiding fear, thinking that’s how to stay comfortable. But growth lives in the unknown… and the unknown almost always triggers fear. So what do we need? Courage. Not the absence of fear, but the willingness to feel it and move forward anyway. Courage is like a muscle, it only grows through resistance. You can’t develop it without facing what scares you. So do the thing. Even if it terrifies you. Because hiding hurts, too. But only one kind of pain leads to expansion. Feel the fear. Let it be there. Then act anyway. What’s one thing you’re avoiding right now because it scares you?
