What's Coming Up?
I picked some pumpkins this weekend. Last year the armadillos scratched a lot of them up, so I couldn't enter those at the county fair...but I still got 1st and 3rd place on my ornamental pumpkin and butternut squash! I'm on top of it this year. Me - 1, Armadillos- 0. What's everyone harvesting this week?

@Paula Boggan They were all volunteers but last year I did Maranos and Cherokee and think they are the same... I know I did havest a few Cherokee Purple and some red round ones :-) I do have 5 plants that I started to try, Black Krim although no harvest on them yet... went in a little later.
First Year Flowers
This is my first year growing dahlias and they've really come in nicely. What are your firsts in the garden this year?

It May Not Be Pretty...
...but it's a gold mine! I built a worm farm a few months back and have been collecting their castings to make a nutrient rich tea. The tomato plants are loving it! 🪱🪱🪱

Excellent... tea or extract? Are you adding sugar and aerating or mixing and pouring in the same day?
What a Nightmare!
With so many of my waking hours focused on the gardens, it's not surprising that the subject comes up in my dreams. Last night I dreamed that I had an infestation of squash bugs. They are the worst! I stay on top of them all season, but they still do some damage. Which garden pests are your biggest enemies? 🐁🐛🐓🐄🐀🐜🐌🐈🐕

I'm eating them as I work in the garden... a few made their way to the house, but not many? Are you getting blooms on your tomatoes?

@Paula Boggan I've been pulling the blooms... they need to get a little more root first...
