I’m thinking of buying a new set of boules this year
Just a quick poll, I’m thinking of doing video boule reviews for different brands and models and this would be valuable to me! I know @Paul Cornwell already bought some from me and MS which is great and shows my advice can help

@Wayne Macdonald I started playing with 73 680 and tried 75's for shooting but couldn't control them. When I dropped to 71 700 I got much more accurate. I think I'd like to try 71 715 but don't want to have to buy them just to see how they work.
Squat pointing
So how to go about starting to point in the squat position, any advice? What technique you all using 🤔

At 6-7 meters I prefer to shoot from a squat too. It avoids over-throwing the boule for me at closer range and I get more carreau.

@Paul Cornwell yes and pointing that knee to the targets helps guide the throw for me.

I use a pickle ball pack with 3 compartments. I like it.
'Proper' Technique
I have developed a style of holding and throwing the boule (shooting) that works for me since I started playing with casual players 3 years ago and received no instruction from them. I have improved steadily even though my form is not "technically correct". This weekend my son and I placed 3rd in a regional tournament of 16 teams but was told that my 'improper' technique will be self-limiting and that I should scrap my learned technique sooner than later and re-learn using the "correct" form. Thoughts?
Visualisation video
Would you like it if I recorded a full visualisation video to help you prior to competition and especially before each shot with full explanation and a quick 10/15 second scenario you can use?

Kevin, I watched this on Friday, practiced it Friday night and played a small tournament with 16 teams on Saturday. We lost the first game 13-2 to a team we had no business losing to. Their pointer was having a great game getting her first ball very close to the jack and we wasted 4-5 boules to her 1 several times. After that we calmed ourselves, I made sure to practice visualizing before every shot and we ended up winning 3rd place in the tournament overall. I can tell the difference it made. Thanks for the video!
