Also open to any feedback. Want to improve my videos as mush as I can.
Video for GBP?
About 6 months ago I created my own practitioner google business profile separate from my firm, which is a general practice firm. I was trying to market directly for truck and farm injury cases. I've slowly been getting google reviews, and have been using text and video posts, but I don't have any proof of concept yet on whether they move the needle, especially on the video side. Does anyone have experience using video to successfully improve and grow your GBP rankings?

Video does help. I would recommend a brief BIO video. What has been proven is that photos make a drastic impact. You can look at some of the top rank GBP and you will notice they all have a lot of photos. Reason being is it increases dwell time on your content and GBP page. Videos do the same. So it a net positive for the GBP. I would recommend you add the product carousel to your GBP.
Welcome to Simple Video Systems 👋
If you're reading this, you've decided that video is worth doing — but you're not trying to become a full-time content creator, and you don't have a marketing department. That's exactly who this community is for. I'm a trial lawyer. Twenty-plus years in the courtroom, and for most of that time I ignored marketing completely. I'm also a dad to 9 kids. When I finally started marketing with video, I made every mistake you'd expect: random ideas, inconsistent recording and publishing, and trying to do it all myself. The first big breakthrough for me was hiring a PT VA, who still works for me, to begin taking over parts of the process. This gave me confidence to delegate more and more things to others. The second big breakthrough was creating a very strategic decision for identifying my desired viewer, and having a clear purpose for each video and each channel. That's what Simple Video Systems is built around. Five things guide everything we do here: 1. Keep the process simple. Complexity is the enemy of consistency. 2. Always look for what can be delegated or automated. Your time is the scarce resource. 3. Know your audience and your purpose before you hit record. 4. Minimize editing. 5. Treat video as your organic edge. It's still one of the few tools a small business can use to compete with bigger, better-funded competitors — and with AI-generated content. Who this is for: Small business owners and service providers — solo operators and small teams — who want video to actually rank and get found, not just rack up views. If you'd rather build something durable in search than chase a trending sound, you're in the right place. Your first step: Reply below and tell us: - What you do and who you serve - Where you're starting from with video (zero, a little, or a lot) - The one thing about video marketing that feels hardest right now No perfect answers needed. Just start the conversation. Glad you're here. — Craig

Lawyers have been my target audience for over a decade. However my YouTube is a wider net. Not only do I want to show law firm owners, but all business individuals/entrepreneurs how they can utilize all these tools. I know that will open up even more doors, networking opportunities, and overall channel growth for me. Also benefit me in the future and help benefits all business owners in the process.

Yes, and that is also another reason I want to grow the channel as well. More proof! I don't blame attorneys for being skeptical. A ton of over selling and over promising being done by companies.
The power of AI and delegation
One of the most important goals I preach to myself and to others is figure out how to automate and delegate things. Yesterday I had a window of about a hour, and I recorded about 7-8 really high quality, SEO rich videos for my youtube channel and website. Thanks to the AI prompts we've developed, my team preps the scripts, which I follow generally, and then they take it from there in terms of all the editing and production to YouTube, TikTok, etc. I think it's a mistake to delegate this until you understand it yourself, but once you do, it's such a powerful way to scale your organic video marketing, especially if your competition is basically doing none of it, like mine.

Have you tried remotion? It does a fairly good job. Not on the level of Davinci but it does a good job. Especially if you give it clear directions and a story board.

You can set it up with Claude Code. I will make a how to video on it this week.
Different Marketing Content Ideas
This is not an exhaustive list, but I generally think there are 4 distinct categories you might want to consider when identifying topics for your marketing videos. 1. videos about a hobby you have (for me, it's boating and fishing) 2. videos about yourself or your family (I'll be making videos of our upcoming camping trip) 3. Videos about your profession or occupation (I make some general videos about the law) 4. Videos about your niche (I make videos focused on farm and truck accidents)

I think videos of you doing that work as well are really good. Couple examples: You actually going through on-boarding with a client or showing you doing that work(Proof) The travel involved in that work or what you do on daily basis. Fishing for sure! Especially salt water.
