Need to change evening cuppa time
Hey everyone, one of my children is about to start an evening guitar lesson in Yass from 7 to 730. (Starting from tonight). It's a half hour drive home so I won't be reliable to make an 8 pm cuppa. We can change it to 8:15 pm or we could make it earlier from 7 to 730, which will give me something to do while I wait for the lesson to finish, And then people can keep chatting while I drive home. Is there any preference in the group? I don't mind. @Robyn Diamond @Jaki F @Jules Baker @Nicola Vavasour Since you are the most common participants, do any of you have a preference? **UPDATE - I've decided to make it 7pm, as some people find 8 a bit late. I will send this in my weekly email today. So hopefully this is all good!

I've just seen this post... I'm clearly a bit late. Hope you had a nice chat. ๐ŸŒท
Weekly update and change to campout event
I'm a little late with Monday's update, but it's the first morning that I have been able to take a breath...phew! I have been drumming in the Botanic Gardens for Mental Health Week, drumming at the MindBodySpirit Festival in Sydney, and drumming back in Canberra for a beautiful session for Women With A Disability ACT, which was a gorgeous afternoon under the trees in Lyneham! *IN-PERSON EVENT UPCOMING* Weekend gathering near Yass - this is now a one-day event on Sunday 30 November, no campout due to my child's school inconveniently deciding to have the Year 10 Formal on the 29th ๐Ÿ˜† The day will run from 10am to 3pm at Sue's block near Yass (details will be sent to those who RSVP). A day of sharing food and skills and knowledge. If you would like to attend have a think about what knowledge, skills or teachings you might share (totally optional! You can come and just soak it up) RSVP in the comments on this post or text me 0472 699 920. *THE PAST WEEK ON MOOD BOOST* We followed the sensations in the body during a relaxing Sunday Sanctuary here: Body awareness - Weekly mindfulness session ยท Mood Boost And solved the world's education issues over a virtual cuppa on Monday morning. *COMING UP THIS WEEK* Wednesday evening cuppa, today at 7pm (NEW TIME): https://www.skool.com/live/x3Kl4zN8cgX New guided meditation will be recorded this week... Fun Friday mindfulness session, 8am: https://www.skool.com/live/YNwzbwb4fCm *A NOTE ON EMAILS AND THE APP* Having looked at what @Kahli Weir was receiving, we figured out that if you don't have the Skool app, then you might be getting a lot of annoying emails. Install the app to receive notifications instead, if the emails bug you. They are sent automatically by the system. You can also unsubscribe from the notifications, or decide how many you want to receive, by clicking on the button at the bottom of every email from Skool.

I'm also a yes. I can bring a small stall-sized marquee if that would be useful for a bit of shade. I can also bring a tray of zucchini slice to share, and offer a summary of Tibetan Buddhist meditation philosophy and a short meditation if people would like that.
Early Friday hi and weekend plans
What are you up to this weekend? Tomorrow I am heading up to Sydney to the Mind Body Spirit Festival, where I'm running an interactive drumming and percussion session on the main stage - it will be an interesting experience! Last month I did a similar thing at a HR conference, at the same venue (the ICC in the city). I was scheduled at the same time as the afternoon mixer, so I had a bit of competition from the free bar. But around 20 people came over to the stage and had lots of fun drumming for 20 minutes. It's a long drive to Sydney and back for a 20 minute session ๐Ÿ˜†. This time we are staying overnight with a friend in Surry Hills, as I am going to be on the stage both Friday and Saturday late afternoons. Apparently the festival gets around 100,000 visitors over 4 days. I'm anticipating a quite different crowd to the HR staff! I'll be back in time to run our Sunday Sanctuary session at 3pm - we are going to do a breathing body awareness meditation. (I thin I'll need it!) You can find it in the Calendar or via https://www.skool.com/live/yDy8zMR2BFJ Let us know in the comments how you plan to boost your mood this weekend!

New guided meditation - the beat of the drum
Listening to a drum beat is a great way to meditate, as the regular beats slow your brain waves into a meditative state without you having to do anything! Enjoy - let me know how you find it. #4 Drum meditation - Guided meditations ยท Mood Boost

I felt it in my body, too. It was nice to do a meditation with a completely different focus. Thanks Kath. ๐ŸŒท
Weekly update, high tea and campout events
Wow, what an insightful and enjoyable morning coffee we had this morning! We shared info seemingly at random but marvelled at how connected everything was. We talked about: ...weeding, mowing the grass and a permaculture course that @Robyn Diamond is attending down the south coast ...eradicating serrated tussock, biodynamic farming and Whole of Paddock Regeneration (WOPR) with @Sue Mackenzie , who shared a short doco that she made in a post (https://www.skool.com/mood-boost-1752/reveg-doco?p=221f4244) ....financial advice and investments and currency and super and gold and silver as a form of guarding against financial collapse (summary - there is a good financial advisor company in Canberra called Custodian Financial, safes aren't necessarily safe, and stay away from Bitcoin) ....and a zero-waste upcycling clothes shop in Yass (Facebook and Upcyc.co. (@upcyc.co) โ€ข Instagram photos and videos). *High tea in Yass* I shared that a new shop in Yass called TAL Organics (Facebook) is run by a lovely lady who grows rosehips and is hosting a high tea there on the 15 November. Just $55 and the lady makes all the herbal teas herself. Call or text 0410 482 094 if you want to book. @Kahli Weir and I are already booked in, so hopefully some of you can make it too. *Weekend gathering near Yass* We also decided in the last 5 minutes of this morning's cuppa to hold an in-person gathering on the 29/30 November at Sue's block near Yass (details to come later). An afternoon and evening of sharing food and skills and knowledge. For instance, @Jaki F might run a meditation, I will hold a sharing circle and a drumming session, @Jules Baker might teach us something crafty, @Robyn Diamond can tell us more about permaculture and @Sue Mackenzie can show us around her revegetated and serrated-tussock-free block. Optional camp out overnight and eggs on the barbie for brekkie. If you would like to attend have a think about what knowledge, skills or teachings you might share (totally optional!)
