Someone in the corporate world, a leader (if you want to call them that) just said... " it is not my job to coach and train my team to success, they need to figure it out or get out." wooooweee I had to leave that area quick because that right there, gets me fuming and there is just way too many people that are "boss's" out there and not leaders... What would have you done?

Let’s brainstorm.

I am debating on changing the community around a bit for the new members joining to have to have immediate pay after 7 day trial period. I started thinking, I’m not trying to build the biggest community, I’m trying to build the most effective one. Penny for your thoughts?

It can definitely go either way. As they say, "people who pay, pay attention." Everything has it's pros and cons so it all depends on your goals, your traffic, etc. Free can lead to paid, paid can add friction, there is no right answer. The free trial can get the best of both worlds. It all comes down to value which leads to conversions and retention. It's definitely not about getting the most members just for the sake of inflating the numbers.
