Q+A Goal
One of my main goals this year would be to get 10k followers on Soundcloud, Instagram, and TikTok. As well as 50k-100k streams on a track.

@Marc Shoals that’s a great look to it. The highest streamed remix I got last year was a little over 10k so would love to get to 50k at least on one this year

Wassup, I’m Ben
I’m so excited to be part of this new community! I’m a music producer and DJ based in San Diego and I’d say my sound is nostalgic, euphoric festival mainstage EDM. I’m heavily influenced by the golden era growing up with AVICII, Martin Garrix, Skrillex, Zedd, Calvin Harris. Aka the GOATS. I also balance that nostalgic sound with more modern bass house drums/energy. Isoknock is huge here in San Diego, so they’re big influences on my Benyourfriend sound. I’ve been a musician my whole life with a background in piano & percussion. But since 2023, I’ve been diving deep in building myself as an artist & producing. Outside of music, I’m also a videographer specializing in filming multi-cam sets. I’ve had the privilege to build brands for myself and other DJs through sharing full sets on Youtube so any insights that can help you, I’m happy to share! I’ve been working more recently with SPIN nightclub here in SD so it’s been really cool filming for other world-touring DJs that come here. I’m so excited to meet you all and support your journey! Wingman Plugin
Would love yalls thoughts on the new Wingman Plugin by Mixed In Key. For those who don’t know what it is, it’s a plugin that analyzes the song dragged into it with notes keys and even recommends chords and notes. Do yall think this is like the shortcut/cheating through it all? I’m terrible with writing any chord progression and would use it as an assistance tool. But would love all the feedback and thoughts on it.
