Question for DJs filming with 360 Camera
Are yall just hitting record and letting it record your whole set? 2+ hours of footage? Or are you just trying to capture key moments when they happen? I've been filming my whole sets because I'm worried I will miss something. The best moments are always very spontaneous and I'm too busy DJing to pay attention to all that. But MAN its a lot of footage to filter through after each gig. Just trying to find a better way.

I have dji osmo 6 and love the workflow, app and everything about it. My first 2026 gigs start next month so no content from previous years. That said my current plan is to hit record for the main sections. Like ceremony, all reception etc. First gig this year is a night club from 11p-2am and just plan on setting it up at angle behind me and see how it goes. I could see adding a insta 360’as well this year to attach to dj booth and moving osmo 6 to opposite end of dance floor

I use a howler device to capture the mix. If I didn’t have that I would use one of my DAWS and a sound card
Need Help with Moving Light Adapters and Totem Stand
I bought 2 Shehds GalaxyJet LED 200W / 300W Moving Head Light Beam / Beam & Wash & Gobo 3in1 and thought they would fit on Rockville RTP82B 8 ft Adjustable Black Totem Moving Head Light Stand but the adapter on the light is a clamp style for a truss. See pic. Is there an adapter where I could replace the clamp style with a bracket that would work with either speaker mount or flat mount for the Totems? Or suggest a similar truss style mount that is mobile enough.

Which DJ Software is Your Favorite and Why?

@Shawn Craig have it set to yes quit VDJ and restart Soundswitch and then VDJ. Switch over to perform mode and see if it connects

@Shawn Craig I would start with 1 track and auto script. Gives you an idea of what is created. Might need to tweak your attribute cue slider values on the left hand side (double click). However I have no clue what I’m doing but this is how I’m doing it currently. Just having the software auto script a track and playing around
SoundSwitch Setup - do it yourself or buy a package?
I was wondering if anyone has experience setting up SoundSwitch themselves with multiple lights vs buying a package like the two advertised by Both Lighting or DJ Daryl Bennett. Granted I do not have all Both Lighting, though they specifically posted videos claiming their programs are not for only their products and you can swap out fixtures for other brands, I do have a couple Both Lighting and/or exact same library file compatible lights. At $400-500 it is expensive but is it worth it?

Seems expensive to me. I'm learning SS now and can be frustrating sometimes but I feel if I purchased on of those I would missout on the learning.
Booking forms?
Does anyone have sample proposals and first contact interview forms they can share?

All of mine are modified templates from Honeybook and taken some notes from Ozark, Nick S, etc. Always tweaking and seeing what works and doesn’t work. 2026 will be the year of a lot of trial and error.
