This morning, I posted about needing a graphics designer and was flooded with responses. Most people were eager to help, but they all wanted to schedule a call sometime next week. That’s pretty typical, right? We’re all busy, juggling multiple things, and pushing meetings a few days out seems normal. But then, one person stood out. Instead of waiting for next week, they asked if we could meet today—no hesitation, no delay. We jumped on a call, discussed the opportunity, and by the end of the conversation, we agreed to move forward. Here’s the powerful lesson in all of this: Money likes speed. I had an immediate need, and the person who stepped up right away, ready to take action, is the one who won the business. It wasn’t about who had the best pitch or the most experience. It was about who was willing to move quickly and show they were hungry for the opportunity. As entrepreneurs, we often get caught up in planning, scheduling, and waiting for the perfect moment. But the truth is, sitting and waiting can cost you valuable opportunities. The world moves fast, and if you’re not ready to move with it, someone else will. Action creates momentum, and that momentum leads to success. So ask yourself—how bad do you want it? Are you willing to act now, seize the moment, and make things happen? Or will you let the opportunity slip away while you wait for the “right time”? Remember, success doesn’t wait for the perfect moment—it rewards those who take action. How fast you move today could determine where you stand tomorrow.

I know so many entrepreneurs who make millions of dollars inside of their business, but have no freedom and compromise their health along the way. For the longest time early on in my entrepreneur career, my wife used to always tell me is it worth it when you lose everyone you love in the process. That really struck home for me and opened my eyes to the reality of what was actually taken place. As an entrepreneur, it is OK to spend more time building systems and processes that will help eliminate you from the process so you can enjoy the freedom you so desire. Also, emotional intelligence comes into play when choosing to let some things bother you or not. You will never please everyone and some people just naturally want trouble or feel entitled to certain things. You have the choice to let things bother you or not. This is coming from someone who has always been reactive to the environment around them… If something wasn’t going my way I had to find a way to prove I’m right. Maturity and emotional intelligence allows you to be aware of what’s going on around you And to have self-discipline to control oneself. I’ll ask you the same question my wife always reminded me of, Is it worth it when you lose everyone you love in the process? And never forget, the way you respond has the power to change any situation.
