Just Started Cold Calling, Struggling Hard. What's Actually Working For You?
Hey everyone, I just pulled the trigger and started cold calling for my business and honestly... it's humbling. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I wasn't prepared for how quickly calls fall apart. I'm fumbling through my intro, getting hit with objections I don't know how to handle, and most of the time I can't even get past the first 10 seconds before they hang up or brush me off. On top of that, half the time I call a business the decision-maker isn't even there. I end up talking to a receptionist or someone who has no idea what I'm offering and can't do anything with it. I don't want to keep burning through my list without actually getting in front of the right person. I'm looking for real, practical help from people who've actually done this: - What does your opening line look like? Do you lead with a question, a problem, a compliment? - What's your offer and how do you position it on a cold call? - How do you handle the classic "I'm not interested" or "send me an email"? - Do you use a full script or just bullet point talking points? - How do you get past the gatekeeper and actually reach the decision-maker? - What's your strategy when the owner or manager isn't available — do you leave a message, call back, ask for their direct line? - What did you wish someone told you when you were just starting out? I'm not looking for theory, I want to know what's actually converting for you right now. If you've got a script or framework you're willing to share, even just a rough version, I'd be super grateful. Drop it below or DM me. Willing to share what I'm working with too if it helps. Let's figure this out together.

Need Help
I need some advice from experienced people here. I’ve been working with a local service business client (landscaping) for around 2 months. Here’s what I’ve done so far:– Built a full website– Optimized Google Business Profile– Created directories/listings– Helped with content & basic branding– Started improving SEO Results so far:– Google ranking improved from position 27 → 16– Website is getting impressions and clicks– Online presence is clearly improving But the client says:👉 “No calls = no results”👉 Claims rankings are from his own reviews👉 Thinks I’m not doing much👉 Now asking for extra work (logo, flyer, etc.) The problem:He expects fast results (calls within 1–2 months), but as we all know, SEO takes time. I already explained:– This is organic growth– It usually takes 3–4+ months– Competitors have older domains, more backlinks Still, he doesn’t seem convinced. So my questions: 1. How do you handle clients who only judge by immediate calls? 2. Do you continue working and educate them… or walk away? 3. How do you set boundaries when they keep asking for extra work outside scope? I want to grow long-term, but I also don’t want to work with clients who don’t value the process. Would really appreciate honest advice 🙏

@Sahid Akhtar if you feel like you need this client, you go above and beyond to wow them. If you don’t need this client, and they’re pissing you off, you tell them it’s not a fit What’s the goal of your next move

Hi all, Wanted to quickly introduce myself. I’ve been in sales for the last 7 years and have always wanted to start my own business. Hoping this community can help guide me down the right path. I’m currently getting into AI automation, so all tips are welcome — whether it’s tools, where to start, or lessons you learned the hard way. Happy to share what I pick up along the way too. Cheers,
