Procrastination: why it happens and how to escape (now…or almost)😅
We procrastinate because: - the brain loves the couch more than effort - fear of failure wears a “I’ll do it later” costume - important tasks whisper, Instagram screams 5 EASY ways to get out of it: 1. Start with 2 minutes (spoiler: you won’t die) 2. Do the ugly but done version 3. Break the task like a pizza 🍕 4. Remove one distraction (yes, that one) 5. Reward action, not perfection 👉 Serious question: What’s the one thing you’re avoiding… by reading this post right now? 👀

The one thing I’m avoiding by reading this post: Clearing off my desk! 😆
"Day 1 and not one day" ✨
Today isn't just *a* day among others. It's not the "first day of the rest of my life"—a pressure that often stops us before we even begin. Today is simply Day 1. The real, honest, no-impossible-promises starting point. It's the act of planting one small seed of awareness. 📍 Physical Clutter: I chose one space. Just one. A drawer, a shelf, my laptop bag. Not the whole house. I looked at it, removed one thing that no longer serves me, thanked it, and let it go. That's it. 📍 Mental Clutter: I took a piece of paper and wrote down the "looping thoughts" that occupy my mind without permission. Then, I crumpled it up. Not to solve everything today, but to see that those thoughts could leave my head and take form. For a moment, they stopped racing. 📍 Soul Clutter: I took one long, intentional breath. Inhaling, I told myself, "I am here." Exhaling, I thought, "I let go." One single breath. That was my sacred space. Detox isn't a punishment; it's a making of space. It's not about losing, but about rediscovering. The space to move, to think, to be. This is Day 1. The only one that matters. And tomorrow? That will be Day 2. Another gentle step. What's the first small area you'd like to clear?

@Patrizia Gerblich I haven’t been near it in more than a week. But I’ll send you a photo when I declutter it.
When moving furniture inspires a deep clean...
Moving a couch and discovering its wild side: an ecosystem of dust, lone socks, and forgotten Lego pieces. It's the jolt that makes you say, "Might as well..." and declare war on three generations of dust. The only way to really clean is to mess everything up first. What's the most absurd "archaeological find" you've discovered?

One time I moved a dresser out of the closet, and I found the university diploma that belonged to the person who lived there before me. It took some effort to track her down.
HOW TO DETOX FROM DIGITAL CLUTTER
Is your screen a stressful mess? It's time for a digital detox. Sound like too much? Just start here. Do this right now: - On Your Phone: Open your photo gallery. Immediately delete 10 useless screenshots. Then, delete 5 apps you haven't used in months. Done? Take a breath. It already feels lighter. - On Your Computer: Is your desktop buried? Move everything into a folder called "TO SORT". Now, create a new one: "ESSENTIALS". From now on, save only here. The 1-Minute Challenge: This week, every time you open a social media app, immediately unfollow 3 accounts that don't inspire you or delete 5 old photos afterwards. Less digital baggage = more mental space. WHAT'S THE FIRST THING YOU'LL DELETE? Tell me in the comments! 💥

I deleted 5 apps and I’m looking forward to unfollowing a bunch of political “commentators” on social media.

A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE
📌 The Secret to a Closet (and a Mind) Free of Stress. Open your closet and see chaos? Spend minutes looking for that sweater or pair of earrings? 😥 The solution lies in a timeless yet powerful mantra: 🔥 “A place for everything, everything in its place.” 🔥 This isn’t just organizing advice — it’s a life philosophy. When you assign a “home” to every item: ✅ You stop wasting time searching for things ✅ Your mind feels clearer and less cluttered ✅ You start your day with calm and control External clutter fuels internal clutter. External order creates inner peace. 🧠 START HERE: Pick just ONE small area of your home (the sock drawer, your handbag, the bathroom counter) and give it a clear “home.” Feel that sense of freedom? 👉 NOW I ASK YOU:What’s the one item you’re ALWAYS losing? (Keys? Phone? Your favorite lipstick?) Tell me in the comments! 🗣️

I think I already tried to answer the Italian version of this 😆 But I didn't know how to say what I'm always losing in Italian. I'm ALWAYS losing simple tools (screwdrivers, pliers, hammer, etc.) and I've noticed 2 patterns: 1) Many of these tools are crowded into just one place, which makes it hard to find them. 2) The other place I stash tools is hard to reach, so I just get lazy and leave them somewhere else. Now that I've diagnosed the problem, I can try to fix it 😊 Sono contento che stai scrivendo in Italiano e Inglese. Cosi', posso ricordare e migliorare mi Italiano!

@Des Cooke The Italian is just a bonus for me, mate, because I lived in Italy more than 20 years ago. It's fun to see how much I can remember, and of course double-check with Google before I hit "Reply."
