10K Week 1 Homework
Hey team, How did you find the first week of the program? It's ok if you are just getting into the swing of things - plenty of time. Post your homework and any questions / comments you have here :)

Going to use my recent ParkRun time of 32:30 for my week 1 time. Parkrun PB is 31:19. Hard to say why I'm off pace at the moment. Heat? Hopefully as that's a more pleasant explanation than performance decrease since November!

Managed 5:45 on my intervals today, and happy with that. I'm assuming that RPE is related to the exercise (as in 9/10 effort across 400m, as opposed to 9/10 possible pace in general). Programming the interval workout in my Garmin helped loads.

My 2026 goal is to lose a bunch more weight and get my 10k time under 60 minutes - currently 1:09. Looking forward to running Parkrun in under 30 minutes too - major milestone. Hoping this will benefit my HM efforts too! I run because it gets me closer to the fit and healthy person I want to be, and really helps my mental health. Cheers all!
