Preventing fingerprints being taken
I'm wondering if there're any solution that prevent my fingerprints being taken? Whether that's during travel or for the purpose of issuing biometric documents like a passport? How to go around this?

To the Data Protection Officer, Cleveland Police, I write to you regarding the retention and processing of my personal data by Cleveland Police. I remind you of the established legal position concerning police retention of biometric and personal data, including but not limited to: * **S and Marper v United Kingdom (ECHR, 2008)** โ€“ unlawful blanket and indefinite retention of biometric data of unconvicted persons; * **R (GC) v Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis [2011] UKSC 21** โ€“ police retention policies found incompatible with Article 8 ECHR; * **Gaughran v United Kingdom (ECHR, 2020)** โ€“ unlawful indiscriminate and non-reviewable retention of biometric data. In light of the above authorities, and pursuant to **UK GDPR Articles 5, 6, 17, and 21**, and the **Data Protection Act 2018**, I formally request: 1. Confirmation of all personal and biometric data held about me; 2. **Deletion (erasure)** of all such data where there is no current, lawful, necessary, and proportionate basis for continued retention; 3. Written confirmation once erasure has been completed, or a clear explanation of the specific statutory basis relied upon for any continued retention. This request is made as a data subject exercising my lawful rights. Please treat this letter as a formal notice and request. I expect a response within the statutory timeframe. Failure to comply may result in escalation to the **Information Commissionerโ€™s Office (ICO)**. Yours faithfully, [Your Full Name] [Your Address] [Your Date of Birth โ€“ optional, only if you wish to assist identification] [Your Email Address] [Date] I sent this to my local police im currently a awaiting response, I'm sure you could use some of them cases and send notice to passport place or wherever. I'm looking into doing that next but maybe someone has already tired & may be able to tell you more.
Cabot - 2 months extension
Cabot ignored my SAR1, finally written back after SAR2 and said they need 2 months extension. Refused to give me D.O.A and said I have no right to see it and it doesn't have any of my details on ๐Ÿคก Are these jokers serious, they have classed my SAR2 as a complaint, issued me a complaint number and said I must go through Mortimer Clarke solicitors. Should I even bother with Mortimer or just issue SAR3 LBC to them? I can't believe they actually said it doesn't have my details on should I just write back thank you for admitting the debt is not in my name and thus unenforceable ๐Ÿคฃ

Euro car parking ticket how to respond when car in name trustee
Curious how to respond since my car not in my name it's under trustee. Should I write back asking if they can confirm who the trustee is, should I ignore it or should I just crack on as normal with the templates. Just a little confused as to if I can still go for a data breach since they haven't actually got my name just my address and reg

Vulnerable Housing Overcrowding
Can any1 help point me in the right direction of any legislation that may help a friend of mine who has 3 kids (2 of which are vulnerable and have mental health issues) she lives in a 2bed house (council rented) with her 3 kids (17girl & 13girl share a room) and she still has to share with her 5yo son. She has been asking for a bigger house but no help as of yet. I offered to help her and was thinking a notice they are causing harm & distress plus breaking the UN Human rights charter may help the situation. Any other legislation I could put it to help would be greatly appreciated. (Massive thank you for all the info in the group I've read so far, really helping me make major moves to protect me & mine) ๐Ÿ‘

@Checkmate Attendee thank you I'll make a note of that. the 13 yo girl has SENCO involved and has a tendency to self-harm. the 5 yo boy is on the pathway for autism & adhd also has SENCO involved. the 17 yo turns 18 on 24th aswell so i don't know if she then has to have her own room. i've got lots to go at the council with now though and should have her some help soon
DVLA - TAX & INSURANCE
Hi all, new member here was just wondering if any1 had any information or can point me in the right direction of how to deal with car tax & insurance. I've been learning the Lawful notice and demand section so if I send all that and setup a trust do I need to send anything extra to the DVLA & POLICE to confirm I'm not liable to pay for tax and/or insurance. If any1 could share their experiences in dealing with this I would be extremely grateful. Ive seen multiple videos of people claiming we self insure with bonds, has any1 actually managed to get the insurance to admit this and give you the bond/s?

@Peter Wilson I thought they couldn't touch your car if it's in a trust? And since we have the right to free travel I don't understand how they could enforce it once we established we are not our "strawman'" and sent them a notice. I've still got it taxed & insurance ATM but I've transferred ownership to TRUSTEE and got logbook back in the name TRUSTEE, not mine. I've written to DVLA asking them to provide any evidence any of their legislation applys to me a private man not using my car for business, I'm awaiting a reply from them. When they write back my plan was if it's possible to put DVLA as the trustee and I would be beneficiary, they would be responsible for my tax and insurance if they say I have to have it. (New to this so please advise me if I'm way off)
