Musical interlude during our exciting tournament
What's your favorite ridiculous, fun, or parody song? Comment below with a link to it on YouTube. (You can find mine in the comments below.) And if you want to know WHYYYY I might be asking you this pointless question... I wrote an email once about how even entertainment gets boring after a while, if it's the same kind of entertainment. So baseball team owners introduced fireworks to juice audiences beyond just what the athletics could do... A Croatian pop singer (possibly) leaked a sex tape to get more interest and sympathy than her singing alone could do... And I'm taking a break from our ongoing sports-like teaching tournament to talk about music. Same for you. If you've been giving people interesting anecdotes, or analogies, or any other form of infotainment over and over in your emails, that's good... ... but you need throw in a changeup among all the fastballs. Such as for example, working in some pop culture, in the form of your favorite ridiculous, fun, or parody song. So list yours below, and then, for bonus points, work it into your email today.

[Small Win Saturdays] What's yours for this week?
The return of Small Win Saturdays... I found this thread fun and useful last week. I wanna make it a regular thing. So let me ask... what was your small win this week?

A few of small ones this week: - Ran a good call with a former client & put a couple of irons in the fire there. - Pocketed $2K to turn on an old welcome sequence and do a couple of hours of work on it (former client dumbassedly switched to "e-comm templates" & paid some hacks $4K to "build" them -.-) - Enjoyed - and keep enjoying - sweet, sweet validation because the old/new welcome is converting 40% more than the "AI-leveraged super templates" (5 days in so not statistically significant, technically).

In another post, @Frederik Beyer writes: "I don't think my list would buy a 1K offer" If you also don't think your list would buy a $1k offer, here's an email you can send to your list to test out your assumptions (tweak as needed): === SUBJECT: My surprising purchase [Start off by telling a story from some recent purchase you've gotten surprising value from, or zero value from. It can be just a line or two. And then lead into...] And now, do you want to play a game? Here's how we play. 1. Think for a moment: What's the most you've ever spent on a single book, course, or coaching [you can swap this out with something that's more relevant to your niche] that got you EQUIVALENT OR GREATER value? And conversely... What's the most you've ever spent on a single book, course, or coaching [again, swap this as needed] that got you ZERO value? 2. Once you have your answers to the two questions above, hit reply and let me know. (By the way, no judgment on how much money you've spent on something and gotten ZERO value from. Odds are, I've got you beat.) 3. Once I get your answers, I will reply to you personally with my own answers. One is inspiring, the other I'm not proud of, but hey... So do we have a deal? Think for a minute, then write in and let me know. You might learn something about yourself. You might learn something about me. And you might learn something about making sales, even at high prices. [Again, you can swap this out with a more relevant benefit to your niche.] === Send that email out to your list today or tomorrow... and prepare to be surprised by the answers you get. And now, do you want to play a game? Here's how we play. 1. Think of your answers to the two questions above. 2. Post them in the comments below. (No judgment, and if you want, you can omit any identifying details as far as the offer goes. You do have to tell me the price though.) 3. Once the sum of the prices posted below exceeds the prices I paid, I'll post my answers below as well. Like I said, one of my answers is inspiring, the other I'm not proud of, but hey...

Most value: Probably Ann Handly's Everybody Writes or Anne Lamot's Bird by Bird - sounds kinda flippant to list 2 pretty beat up books here when I read it back, but both books actually got me to THINK about the craft of writing and grow as a writer. $30 for both, I think. Least value: Full suit of Copyhackers training. Around $2,500 for lifetime access. Had it 6-7 years now (I think) and, pound for pound, probably gotten least value from it because I watched 3 courses and the other 30 are sitting there collecting digital dust. Totally on me, though.

@John Bejakovic A few things probably. 1. Daniel T's Market Detective course paid for itself a few times over at this point ($1500). 2. Codex Academy - writing/brand voice course (voice guide creation) also falls into this category ($1200). 1. Probably - and begrudgingly so because I just can't with him - Ben Settle's CopySlacker book ($600, I think).
Would you bid $1 for more Reality TV (plus auction SECRETS)?
Time for the Episode 2 of the reality TV show known as Daily Email House! As you might know, last month I ran an auction here in Daily Email House. It went purty good. The winning bid was $31k. The winning bidder was @Nick Bandy, who I endorse for President and also to guide you to bigger, better clients and more stability. All that was Episode 1 of Bejako Reality TV. In the aftermath of Episode 1, I had a number of people reach out and say... "Yeah auctions are good and all, BUT what if you're not auctioning off custom, unique, done-with-you stuff? What if you've got, say, a course, which has infinite copies? How do you auction that off, huh? I could tell ya. But I'd rather show ya. And that's why I'm gonna hold: Episode 2: An EVERYONE CAN WIN auction! Along with people asking me how to auction off courses and such, lots of people asked me to create a course on how to run an auction. To everyone who wrote me that, I said that will not be happening, because that course already exists, and it's the course I myself followed in running my auction. And combining those two ideas — a course on how to run auctions, and an auction for a course — we get the main plot line of Episode 2. Here's what's on offer: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1. The "24 HOUR FUN AUCTION" training ===> This training was originally ONLY available inside Travis Sago's $2k/year Royalty Ronin community ===> I followed Travis's training STEP BY STEP in running my own auction, and Travis's auction secrets are absolutely responsible for this auction going up to $31k the way it did. ====> Everybody else who you might have seen running an auction lately is following this same blueprint — because it works! 2. My own notes on Travis's "24 HOUR FUN AUCTION" training ====> I went through this training twice: once before my auction, and once after the auction, with new understanding. I'll share with you everything I think is key in this training 3. Everything I learned from my own auction (51 points)

Family Feud: Personal Productivity edition
OFFICIAL GAME BOARD WITH CORRECT GUESSES: 1. Shiny object syndrome, too many systems, books, productivity apps, etc. [@Howard Shaw] 2. Lack of consistency with any system [@Ivan Srsen] 3. Procrastination, inner resistance [@Rene Kerkdyk] 4. Not getting enough sleep, not getting to work when you're actually productive [@Ralph George] 5. Kids, life constraints, legit not enough time, particularly for focused work [ @Aneisha Velazquez] A few days ago, I ran a poll asking how you feel about productivity. The largest number of folks voted to say productivity is a priority for them right now. I then followed up with a lot of those people by DM to ask what they had tried already to be productive... and what was really the end goal with being more productive? I compiled all those answers and looked at common patterns — what sucks now, what would be a great outcome, what's stopping people from getting there. (Incidentally, if you need a marketing and business lesson then ↑↑↑↑↑↑ is a great business practice to engage in. In the words of marketer Travis Sago, "Get your market to write your marketing.") I was thinking of sharing my findings in this post. But you know what's 1000x better than sharing data? Playing a game. So let's play FAMILY FEUD. The question is, "What are the most common causes keeping people from being productive?" As in the TV version of Family Feud, you are trying to guess the 5 MOST POPULAR responses from among those I collected. You can guess as many times as you like. But each wrong response gets you a strike. Three strikes and you're out of the game. Whoever gets the most correct answers WINS A CAR. You ready? Then guess away below:
