Day 1 Success – Building a Cyberpunk AI Dashboard
I created my own dashboard inspired by games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and films like The Matrix and Blade Runner. Idea Behind It Since AI is often associated with futuristic technology, I wanted to have some fun with the Day 1 challenge by creating something unique and immersive. My concept was to make it feel as though the dashboard had been implanted directly into my brain and was loading as I accessed it. The dashboard first appears with a boot-up sequence, as shown in image 1, before glitching into the main interface. I kept all the original features from the prompt but added Matrix-style scrolling code in the background along with a futuristic cyberpunk aesthetic to create a more immersive experience. Thoughts and Feelings About the Session I really enjoyed working on this project because it gave me a better understanding of how Claude coding works and how powerful AI can be when turning ideas into reality. It was interesting to see how the AI could take inspiration from the images and themes I provided and implement them into the final design. Although there were a few small tweaks needed along the way, the overall result turned out much better than I expected. The process also helped me become more confident experimenting with prompts, layouts, and creative design ideas. How I Customised the Dashboard To personalise the dashboard, I added visual inspiration from cyberpunk games and sci-fi films, including glitch effects, animated loading screens, and Matrix-style scrolling code. I also adjusted the colour palette and interface style to create a futuristic, high-tech atmosphere. I experimented with different prompts and made several refinements throughout the process to improve the overall appearance and functionality. These adjustments helped make the dashboard feel more unique and aligned with the theme I originally imagined. Final Thoughts Overall, this project was both fun and creative, and it encouraged me to think outside the box when designing with AI. I hope this inspires others completing Day 1 to experiment with their own ideas and enjoy the process of creating something personal and imaginative.
