𝟮𝟯 𝟵 𝟮𝟲 Today is 𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗫 here in Bali, or is that in other places hmmm, really must brush up on this kinda stuff, day and night are equal-ish 12-12, it sorta always around that mark, give or take 40 mins at a rough guess. I have a feeling the rains are coming and wonder if this shift has a part to play in that…(thoughts?) Last night Ekka and I had a drive around Ubud centre on the Scoopy, just 2 get out and about for a bit, stopped for one beer at a Madura mart (street shop) (currently distracted as Miss Fluff has come for cuddle, WOW she is damn cute) 🐾 …anyways yes back to the drive, riding around the streets with bustling holiday makers, some out at fancy restaurants, some buying little Bali souvenirs from the market sellers. PENIS KEYRINGS and bottle openers are quite the rave here, I remember back in 2017 when I first came to Bali, I was engrossed in the culture, the magic of the place, I was staying at a cute homestay down one of the small street just of the main one (must try find my blog out about it the day I arrived in Bali…all on my Tod, with the full moon…blown away oooffff…the memories) Anyways one day a friend (now I call a friendshit, but thats a story for another day…lets just say HUGE EGO) and I decided to buy one beer, take it back, drink on the balcony watching the moon or doing something woo, back in the days I was very woo, not so much any more… Anyways point being, when I asked if they have a bottle opener, the lovely lady at the homestay said on the fridge, I turned into a silly chuckly 11 year old girl when I saw it was 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗗 (medium sized lol, not that thats relevant teehee). I believed in our gifts, mine and my clients', properly believed it, not in a fake ass cringe caption kinda way. right now, from what I'm actually experiencing, people crave real, human, in-person stuff, and that's summat I literally cannot offer, cos I live here in Indonesia and it's against the law for me to work in-person here… Things have changed. A hella lot. And it's just me Mimi. I don't have a side hustle propping this up. I don't have someone else's income covering the gap if this month's quiet. It's me. Mimi. That's the whole damn safety net… I don't know what the fuck to do. 𝗠𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗙, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, my clients were doing amazing, epic af results, the whole thing was working. And this year's just hit different. And I know I'm not the only one feeling it either… So what do I do now. Give up? I've got zero answers on that one. People being randomly inconsistent for months, then suddenly posting "sold out," and there's a bit of me that just... doesn't believe it anymore. And I hate that that's where my brain goes now. I hate that I've become the person who reads other people's wins with one eyebrow raised instead of just being happy for them. That's not who I wanna be. But right now, knackered and scared about my own future where the ef the money is gonna come from, it's where I'm at
