Hello everyone
My name is Dafny and I struggle a lot with the idea of entrepreneurship. The idea of being my own boss has always sounded a bit too unattainable. I’ve been an English teacher for 15 years and have been working at the same school for 12. I enjoy what I do there (I am currently teaching and coordinating one of our branches) but I’d like to have more freedom with my schedule. My husband has a filmmaking company and travels a lot. My end goal is to be able to join him whilst still having my own thing. I have zero business ideas. 🫣😂 I hope that, in joining this community, I’ll be able to see what happens when we choose to step out of our comfort zone and get some guidance on how to do that.

Yeah, I experience the same feeling as you do, but you know what? I think of it as a psychological task: You have a self that is used to rely on a set of external rules. But you can re-create your sense of self by both letting go the old attachments, one at a time, and creating new habits! For instance, in my case, I took over the lesson materials preparation first. To bring it to a new level, I started making what I call "lesson narratives": building a set of tasks, questions and sample answers to them, with algorithms and typical do's and dont's in them. Then I realised that I could automate it heavily by using AI tools and adjusting those to resemble my style. And then I realised I could teach more advanced students to make self-study materials for themselves using roughly the same routine I do :) This is not exactly an entrepreneurship yet, but it is definitely a piece of USP and a huge self-worth boost. Now I have a customer who uses the adjusted version of my procedure for job hunt.
To the marriage of true minds :)
1) Igor Ivanov; → call me "Ig" to keep it simple :) 2) I have some casual customers, → but I don't know where to start with my hustle. 3) I have a few powers that seem to be loosely connected at the surface level: → IT analysis is my background, and I have mentorship experience in it, including documentation, reporting and communication skills; → I also have a record of helping people to find a job; → finally, I got a great experience in training myself listening, both theoretical and practical. 4) To find out who are those people who will benefit the most from my service, then to get an idea of how to gradually reach them. 5) I would be delighted to share all my experience and tools proficiency with this community; in return, I expect to either fetch or generate new ideas about #4 in this list.
