Rocker Arms
I am unsure if I can reuse my rocker arms but they are not cheap these days so I was hoping someone could chime in and tell me if these need to be replaced, need to go to a machine shop if I can find one that knows what they are doing, or if they looks good to go. They feel smooth and slide on and off no problem. This is my first rebuild on this project 96 12 valve. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

@Robert Winkworth Not sure I have any idea of how to do that without causing unnecessary damage. Do you have any videos on doing that? I’m doing this in a garage with no real way of making sure I can keep that bore even. Maybe I’m overthinking it…. Also thank you!
YOU WATCH HIM ?
I have been thinking shouldn’t some stuff like he does and some of these other guys content sees to work well ?

This is actually my co-workers friend. He sent me his channel when I first started my rebuild.
Camshafts!!
What’s everyone’s thoughts on camshafts in daily driver trucks? Are they worth the extra money? I’ve looked at a few but haven’t noticed if they have a lob for mechanical pump? I know people talk about using the Vp camshafts but they don’t have the pump lobe.

I’m in the same situation but really trying to determine if I need a new one.

Just rebuilding a 12 valve in my garage to be my dream truck. Down in the states and have no prior experience.
