Canva Lovers!
So, I'm no tech guru and I struggle with creating content and posting content. There are a million aps out there that you can use but for me CANVA is the most simple to use and navigate. If you don't know Canva just announce that you can now do social media scheduled posts! I'm super excited about this and I just finished the Canva training so I can learn how to best use this tool and OH my when I say its so simple! So, how does this apply to this group, well as we are learning how to get clear on our messaging and branding, you should start tracking your progress! I just learned this and it seems backwards but apparently it works. For example I'm an author, business consultant and speaker. I'm currently writing a urban fantasy book with my two children and while the book is not finished, I was advised to start promoting and marketing the book on social media to get the word out, while I'm still writing the book! And I was told to start logging my journey and experiences I had while writing this book. Then I take those notes, upload them into ChatGPt or what ever app your using, ask it to create content from those notes that you can post to social media. Canva is very helpful in that not only will it create your content, it will post it for you consistently on whatever social media channels you use!! So this got me thinking for my speaking business or for just about anything your doing, Im going to upload my keynote speech to Canva, ask it to help me get clear in my messaging and create content from my speech, then have Canva schedule all my content on social media consistently for the next six months!! Let me know what y'all think about this and do you feel this could help you with some of your projects ?Im soooo excited about this, I'll let y'all know how it turns out!

Artificial intelligence has its place. However, partly as an extremely tech savvy (25+ years doing tech support, spread over 35+ years) Luddite, but more importantly as an experienced, certified elementary and secondary teacher, I believe that allowing younger children to use AI is intellectually destructive. I am 68. I began using a thesaurus (in Microsoft Word) regularly, for the first time, in 2024, when I studied Sports Journalism. I was seeking synonyms, to avoid repeating words with the same root, in an article. AI (machine learning) deprives developing brains and mind of going through cognitive struggles, that are essential to develop cognitive function.

One more thing, LaToya. You wrote, “I'm NO tech guru and I STRUGGLE with creating content and posting content.” No. 2: The second part of your statement is a complete falsehood. This social media post, that you just made is inspiring, instructive and informative, all at once. No. 1: You should never say or write negative things about yourself. Each time that you do this, you create and store a negative ____ memory. Auditory (when spoken) Kinaesthetic (tactile) (when hand written) Visual (when typed or hand written then read) If your daughters hear you speak death or doubt over your own self, the negative impact is now going to future generations. I believe that it is ok to OCCASIONALLY say, “I'm no tech guru YET.” “I CURRENTLY struggle with creating content and posting content BUT THIS TOO SHALL PASS.” While being optimistic, it is important that we know ourselves (strengths, weaknesses and limitations) and that we are ALWAYS HONEST with ourselves.
BE SO GOOD THEY CAN'T IGNORE YOU
Most of our lives are spent locked into serving someone else's greater good.We move blindly in auto-pilot because that's just the way it's always been. But what if WE took BACK that control? What if OUR greater good is to be great for OURSELVES so we can be great FOR them? Thank you Dr Sonja for the POWERFUL MESSAGE

Hi @Hope Valentine When it comes to Sports Journalism, I have a skill set that sets me apart from possibly everyone else on the planet. - Photographer for 50 years - Videographer - Basic video editing skills, using licensed copy of Adobe Premiere Pro, mainly on my MacBook. Occasionally on my iPad. On my Lenovo X1 Carbon once, just because I could. - Excellent interview skills - Very good social media skills. I managed my church’s YouTube channel since about 2020. - I did two years of physical & health education. In addition to my zoology-focused B. Sc. and a 2025 Sports Journalism diploma. - - I can talk exercise physiology, anatomy, training programs and injuries, with high-performance athletes, their coaches, ATs, PTs and MDs.

Additionally, I read, write and speak both English and French. This will come in very handy, when I cover my first French Open.

@Traci Robinson-Williams, when working with companies, following the emotional fallout after a merger/acquisition, do the firms that you work with pay significant attention to: - employee insecurities regarding the future stability of their jobs? - blending remaining staff, who came from organizations with significantly different and even conflicting corporate cultures and values?

Thank you, @Traci Robinson-Williams
Is age a factor?
Help me understand one thing.....can this opportunity to manifest, be possible if a person is in their 60's.......do u think it is a platform in that age group to help women?

I believe that the most significant thing that age gives you is wisdom and experience. You have much more to draw on today, than you did 20 or 30 years ago.
