The Recipe Card Revolution: When Your Brain Stops Being the Only Blueprint
@Clare Goodall asked me to cross post this. Hope it helps someone! Alice's tea party is chaos because nobody wrote down how to pour tea, where to sit, or what to do when the Hatter asks a riddle. Everyone improvises. Mess ensues. The moment you document it, everything changes. Your business scales. Your brain gets a day off. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aren't bureaucracy—they're your business's DNA. When you don't document, every task gets done differently by different people. Errors multiply. Training takes forever. You become the bottleneck. The moment you document the process, three things happen: consistency improves, new people ramp 10x faster, and you can automate (because now the computer knows what you know). HINT 1: Do this task after everything you do this week to create an SOP. Or better yet screen record for an hour, then upload your video into Gemini (if you have the paid version, I think the free version only will look at 15 minutes at a time), and say analyze this video and then give it the build me steps in the prompt below.) PROMPT: Help me turn one recurring task into an SOP. Ask me these questions one at a time: - What is the task. - What do I currently do? (AKA my current process) Then build me: 1. Streamlined Steps (remove what doesn't matter) 2. Decision Points (where choices happen) 3. Automation Opportunities (where tech can take over) 4. One-Page SOP (the doc I give a new person) 5. Quick Win (what should I automate first?) What's ONE task you do every week that, if it were documented and delegated, would free up hours of your time? That's your first SOP target. When it's in your head, it's your problem. When it's on paper, it's your system. ✓

Etsy News #2 Etsy & CoPilot
I’ve just seen this online and had to share it. This comes from official Etsy news. If you remember, just before Christmas at the end of Q3, Etsy announced they were teaming up with OpenAI to allow people to shop directly through ChatGPT. That’s still happening, but they’re now also teaming up with Copilot to do something similar. I’ve linked the document, along with a helpful discussion I created using NotebookLM. I genuinely love these kinds of conversations 🤍 Honestly, this makes me feel like we’re in a really good place with Etsy, especially for digital products, as they move towards this kind of buying model. It also feels very true to how we’re already starting to shop. At Christmas, this is exactly how I did my initial research for a laptop for Luke. I used very specific requirements and let AI narrow things down for me. So it makes sense that this will extend to everything else too. I’m curious what you think 🤔 Do you see this as a good thing or a bad thing for Etsy sellers, both digital and physical? And what do you think this means for the high street and small businesses more broadly? I’d love to hear your thoughts 🧐

I am using AI to figure out my next computer too!
Messages or a talking note
Just wondered ladies. Since joining Skool I have been introduced to Voxer as you know and wondered if anyone else uses it. Or do you prefer another app like what’s app for example. I like just being able to keep notes in voxer I mean like voice notes that I can keep safe away from others and listen later or send when I am happy with them.

@Jaymie Workman oh I used to use Marco Polo all the time with a group of friends I forgot about it.

Loom I think is great if the person needs to see stuff. VOXer for listening and it seems easier or more spontaneous I have no idea why Loom seems to me a little harder than it needs to be, or that it’s always asking me to sign in, that puts me off. I do remember liking Marco Polo but never used it professionally.
