Team > I. Working together will get you farther than any individual can. Just look at the Knicks Spurs series. The Spurs had the better record, the best player, the better defense, were the favorites, but none of that mattered. The Knicks played team basketball. They had different guys step up and not only won but destroyed the Spurs when it easily could’ve been a sweep the other day. It was one play, one possession, one quarter, one half at a time. They went after every loose ball, crashed every board, took charges and played help side defense. No one person had to do it alone. They got down 10+ in every game and won 4/5. They stuck together and made it happen. Another lesson learned is how much of an impact you can make without scoring. Hart was huge this series. He was rebounding, blocking shots, getting in passing lanes and more. Proof that you can play at the highest level and get time without needing to score. He’s also an undersized player for his position. Heart over height and team over individual.
