✅Reasons why I fast
Disclaimer this is no medicinal advice. If you‘re concerned about your health consult a doctor prior to trying it. After 24 hours without food, your body shifts into a completely different gear: 🔥 Inflammation drops. The silent driver behind fatigue, poor recovery, and chronic disease gets switched off. Your body finally gets a break from constantly managing your last meal. 🧹 Autophagy activates. Your cells start removing damaged proteins and cellular waste a deep biological reset that no supplement can replicate. ⚡️ Metabolic flexibility improves. You stop being dependent on constant glucose. Your body learns to run efficiently on fat better energy, sharper focus, more endurance. 🧠 Your brain gets sharper. Fasting boosts BDNF — brain-derived neurotrophic factor, supporting memory, mood, and mental resilience. 🫀 Visceral fat gets targeted. Not the fat under your skin the dangerous kind wrapped around your organs. Fasting hits it directly, improving insulin sensitivity and reducing disease risk. 💪 Hormones optimize. Growth hormone spikes to protect muscle. Insulin drops. Your metabolic environment becomes far more anabolic than you’d expect from not eating. 🧘 Self-control gets trained. Learning to sit with hunger and choose discipline over habit is a skill. And it transfers to every single area of your life. This is about giving your body the conditions to heal, reset, and perform at its highest level. I fast weekly. It’s one of the simplest, most powerful tools in my health toolkit. Attached you'll find the full breakdown with sources. Saludos, Coach G

Hi warriors, I hope you are progressing! Some of you may know, that I'm being coached by a very skilled gymnast/calisthenics athlete in rings skills. Three months have passed and I've improved by a lot. Pike Handstand Presses are today a piece of cake. In the past something I could only dream of lol... ANY WAYS even better news: Last Friday I had a personal training session with Anita. Anita has been a yoga teacher for over 20 years. She's 69 years old and decided to start calisthenics. I think that's extraordinary. Not because it's unusual to start at 69. But because she simply decided: now. No "am I too old for this." No "this probably isn't for me." Just curiosity and the willingness to learn something new. Age is not a reason not to start. Sometimes it's just an excuse we tell ourselves. If you feel like you need some guidance and a more structured approach, feel free to reach out. Let's make it happen. By the way me telling you I'm undergoing coaching is not to be taken as a sign of incompetence or lack of knowledge. He is simply skilled in a field I'm not. However it SHOWS once again, that with a clear program and structure what seems to be impossible becomes POSSIBLE. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏾 Saludos, Coach G

guys I somehow managed to finally almost got up from a muscle up without any help, that rarely happens, then I couldn't do it again. huuu, it just happened once tdy and now I'm trying to keep doing again and again to finally do it. plus, I also found out I can easily do an assisted one armed pull-up (hand on wrist) and its quite tiring to keep doing again and again. but I realised that its not that hard

Im taking a break.
Hey guys, i realized that (or my mum realized) my end of year exams are coming up soon (in 1-3 months i think) so im gonna be taking a break from calasthenics although I will try to get my exersise in from other sports. These exams mean alot as they will be offering scholarships after them and well, lets just say my parents wouldnt be too happy if i wasnt at least close to getting one. of course, im sure i will find time to do calasthenics but if anyone has some quick training to do in gaps it would be much appreciated if you pop them in the comments below. Of course, i wont be tottally be disconeccting my self from this platform, I just won't be as active and be doing as much training as i usually do. anyways thats enough yap from me Peace out warriors!
