Curious to hear how others handle this.
How do you deal with clients who genuinely like the product and want to pay, but have little to no interest in managing things on their end or even accessing their own Google My Business profile (even if they already have one)? In these cases, they usually prefer that we handle everything for them. How do you typically manage access and permissions in this situation? Do you guide them step-by-step, request ownership transfer, or use another approach?

Hi @Gaston Lavorato, what I experience is business owners/managers are so busy and always have another more important priority. They know it's important but don't 'feel' the urgency. They think that their 10 year old business with 34 Google reviews means their doing well. 🙄 Like @Wayne Connell is advising..."set up for succes" so the only thing they have to focus on is getting reviews! So I ask the client to add me as a manager for their Google Business Profile and we set up the platform for them (including keywords, AI suggestions etc.), customize the texts used for the opt-in, reviewlink, buttons etc, do the onboarding and share a newsletter which they can share with their team on why reviews are important for the business, how they ask for reviews (believe me, people don't know), how to scan with and ios or android phone etc. They are glad you do this for them because they don't have a clue. Now with Climbo 2.0 I inform the client that our agreement is minimal 12 months so that the effort we put in the set-up, onboarding, the service is covered. I'm now thinking of charging for the set-up and onboarding as well.

Planned Feature: Employee Tracking + Leaderboard
Hi Climbers, we are planning a new feature around employee tracking, and before building it we want to collect your feedback in detail, because we think this could become one of the most powerful ways to help local businesses generate more reviews in a natural and consistent way. The idea is this. The business owner will have a dedicated section called Employees Links, where they can add the employees who are responsible for asking customers to leave reviews. Adding an employee will be very simple: the business just inserts a photo, a name, and an alias, which can also simply be the employee’s real name or nickname. Every time an employee is added, the platform will automatically generate a dedicated review link for that employee. It will also be possible to download the related QR code. Technically, this employee link will simply be the general review link with an extra URL parameter, something like employee=alias. In this way, we will be able to track the unique visits to each employee’s review link. So if an employee asks a customer to scan their own QR code or open their own review link, the business will be able to measure how many unique visits that employee has generated. On top of this, we want to build a leaderboard, inspired by the Skool style, where the business can see the ranking of employees based on the number of unique visits to each employee’s review link. The leaderboard will be viewable for the last 7 days, the last 30 days, or all-time. This would already create an interesting use case for businesses. For example, the company could decide that, on the last day of every month, the employee with the highest number of unique visits receives a bonus in payroll, because that employee made a stronger effort to ask customers for reviews. But we want to take this feature much further. Our idea is that if, inside the text of the review, the customer mentions the alias of the employee, then that review will be automatically assigned to that employee. For example, if the review says “Luke was very kind with us”, the review will automatically be associated with the employee whose alias is “Luke”.

@Giacomo Chinellato, I already talked about this feature (employee tracking) with (new) clients and they are very excited to hear that this feature is coming. As you know I sell NFC wristbands, plaques, cards, etc. instead of QR code products, so I hope you will make programming NFC products possible. Really I can't wait to introduce it to my (new) clients. Guys, team Climbo, you're rocking! 💪🏽

I slept on it @Giacomo Chinellato and gained some new insights. Like I said, I'm very excited and thought this feature (by the roadmap info) it would be a simple leaderboard for link/QR code for the team members but you and your team want to make that extra mile! BETTER, but it also creates other chances and challenges. What I like is that it makes asking for reviews more personal and more measurable. In a lot of cases, customers remember the employee who helped them more than the business name itself. So if reviews mention real staff members, the reviews will feel more authentic and human. I also like that every employee gets their own link (for NFC use) and QR code. That makes it easier for businesses to track who is really making the effort. A few things I would improve. First, I would not make it only about a leaderboard. A leaderboard is good, but usually it mainly motivates the people already at the top. I think it would be stronger if you also add things like goals, badges, streaks, team targets (some businesses have different departments), or maybe a most improved section. Second, I think businesses should be able to choose how they want to rank employees. Some will care about unique visits, others about attributed reviews, others about conversion rate from visits to reviews. That flexibility would make it much stronger. Third, I think trust in the numbers is very important. If employees can game the system by scanning their own link/QR code or creating fake visits, the value of the leaderboard drops very fast. So I would definitely add protection against abuse and make it clear how visits are counted. I also like the idea of assigning reviews when the customer mentions the employee’s name or alias, but I would not rely only on exact matching. People misspell names, use nicknames, or mention more than one person. So if possible, I would improve that logic with nickname matching, fuzzy matching, or manual confirmation when needed.

Hi Climbers 👋 This week, we’re starting work on one of the most exciting features we’ve been planning: the GEO Agent. The goal of the GEO Agent is simple: 👉 automatically generate SEO-optimized, localized content for your clients based on their real business data. Here’s how it will work: We start from the input layer, where the system gathers all the key business information — business name, category, services, description, sentiment analysis, and especially real customer reviews. Then the agent analyzes all this data to understand how the business is perceived, what makes it unique, and which topics matter most in its local market. From there, it generates relevant keywords, followed by tailored topics and content ideas specific to that business and its location. Once everything is ready, the agent creates content on a schedule — weekly, biweekly, or monthly — selecting the most relevant topics and generating human-like articles designed to support local SEO. Reviews play a key role in this process, since the agent can also quote real customer feedback inside the articles to make the content more authentic, relevant, and aligned with how the business is actually experienced by its customers. 👉 The final output: The main content is published as a blog article on the client’s website (CNAME required). Optionally, the same content can also be adapted into social media posts for Facebook, Instagram, and Google, with the goal of driving traffic back to the blog article and amplifying its reach across multiple channels. Every few months, the system refreshes the input data to keep everything aligned with the latest reviews and business updates. Development Request: Review → Reward Flow
We require the implementation of a post-review gamification trigger within the review journey to encourage engagement. Incentivize review acquisition! What is required: Enable a flow where, immediately after a user submits a review (via link or QR entry), a reward interaction is automatically triggered (e.g. spin wheel / coupon / loyalty activation). Why this is critical: - Reviews are a primary ranking signal for Google Business Profiles — volume and frequency directly impact visibility. - Current behaviour shows users need prompting + incentive to complete reviews. - Introducing a post-action reward significantly increases completion rates without influencing review sentiment. - The trigger must occur after submission and not be tied to rating, ensuring platform compliance and unbiased feedback. Outcome: This creates a high-conversion loop: Access → Review → Immediate Reward → Increased participation Driving: - More consistent review generation - Higher engagement rates - Improved local search performance

Good one @Semir Jo. Other thing is asking for Google reviews using gamification is strictly prohibited by Google’s policies if it involves offering rewards, prizes, or incentives in exchange for the review....
