💡 Wisdom Wednesday
Slow down to connect. Instead of rushing through bedtime, take 10 extra minutes to talk. 👉 What’s one question you’ll ask your child tonight?

I'll ask her what the most fun part of her day was? And ask her why.
✅ Momentum Monday
Happy Monday legends!! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend with their kids and families. Would love to hear what everyone got up to over the weekend. What the best parts were and what things you struggled with (if any) Clarity creates confidence. Write down your top 3 priorities for the week — no more, no less. 👉 What’s your top priority this week as a dad?

We had a great Halloween too. Both my ex and I went trick or treating with our daughter together, so that was nice despite us being divorced several years now. My daughter and I had a busy weekend with some of her friends. We shared some moments in the car talking. We even took some time to dissect a song she enjoys listening to by one of her favorite artists (TS) and talked about feelings and how it's so important to be kind even when it's hard to sometimes. Im happy with my connection with her right now. She's 8, so I know it won't always be easy as she heads into her pre-teen years.
🤦 Friday F-Ups
We made it through another week!! I hope everyone had an amazing week and made a lot of new memories and progress with your kids. This weeks is about owning your mistakes. The hardest and biggest block for this is our ego. Our ego tells us we are right and they are wrong but that’s not always the case. Sometimes we do “F UP” and when we do we need to apologise. Owning your mistakes makes you stronger. Apologize for one mistake this week — no excuses, just ownership. 👉 Who do you owe an apology to?

I apologize for losing my temper and not listening to my daughter when she's telling me she needs a minute.

I didn't yet for this mornings incident. But yes, I have done this before, in a quiet, soft tone, down on her level.
💡 Wisdom Wednesday
Happy Wednesday brothers!! This weeks wisdom is all about the tone in your voice and how to use it correctly and most effectively. Your tone matters more than your words. Next time you correct your child, lower your tone and keep it calm. 👉 What’s one situation where you’ll practice calm correction?

I will practice calm correction when I'm trying to help my daughter understand that she needs to focus and listen. Especially when we're trying to get out the door on time and get ready.
🤦 Friday F-Ups
It’s Friday again and you know what that means!! It’s time to own our mistakes and learn from them. Be open and honest with yourself, if you’re not you will continue to make mistakes. Every failure is feedback. Share one pattern you keep repeating (snapping, procrastinating, avoiding) — and one way you’ll break it. 👉 What cycle are you working to break?

I'm working on my anxious attachment style. Specifically, texting people back right away. It can wait! I've definitely struggled a bit this week. Any help to stay accountable to this is appreciated!
