80% of people read your headline. Only 20% read the rest. Write for skimmers.
According to Copyblogger, 80% of people read a headline but only 20% read the body. People don't read pages anymore. They scan, skim, and dive into whatever catches their eye. Which means a wall of dense text isn't thorough. It's invisible. If your sales page or email is one solid block, most people bounce off it without absorbing a thing. Make your copy scannable: short paragraphs, subheads that tell the story on their own, bold on the lines that matter, white space that lets the eye rest. Four free tools that score how readable your copy is, so you're not guessing: the Readability Test Tool, Edit Central, Online-Utility, and the Hemingway App. Hemingway in particular flags every sentence that's too long or too dense. Paste your main sales page into one of them. If it scores at a college reading level, you're losing the skimmers, which is almost everyone.

@Samuel Digital that’s one of my biggest ponders and I am finding other ways to reconstruct our economy
New product idea?
I feel like a huge amount of life just disappears because we forget things constantly. Conversations.Recommendations.Promises.Random important moments.Things people told us once. I’ve been working on an idea called “Life Search Engine.” Basically:a private app where you can search your own life context. You could ask: - “What did my friend say about Thursday?” - “Where was that sushi place someone recommended?” - “What commitments did I make this week?” - “Did this already come up before?” It would connect to: - calendar - email - notes - optional voice memory sessions you start manually The important part:raw audio gets deleted after transcription/extraction, and recording is always visible. I genuinely can’t tell if this is: - a future essential productor - something people would never trust enough to use Curious what your honest reaction is.
