Last Days of Aquarius Season - 7 of Swords
As we approach the ending of Aquarius season, I wanted to share this post from friend and author @Grant Isaac Asay who always has a unique perspective on Tarot. This is a link to his post regarding this card and I encourage you to sign up for his community also! https://www.skool.com/grant-isaac-tarot-1947/the-7-of-swords-the-symbolism-youre-missing?p=564db844 I too have been avoiding the 'deception' energy of this card or 'cheater' etc. Yellow I have taught in the past as a connection to the colour of Judas' robe when he betrayed Jesus as a link to a Christian reference - Giotto's The Kiss of Judas (1304-06) pictured below. However the card is Moon in Aquarius (moon being shadow or about to be enlightened) and Aquarius symbolising the future or visionary. So this to me is always a person taking knowledge and re-purposing it. It's not always 'bad' or untrustworthy. As Grant says, sometimes the knowledge isn't landing where it should or the audience is not ready to receive it. Thoughts?

Thanks for the mention, Renee! I do see this Moroccan man as a more spiritually aware person: progressive, free thinker. He feels somewhat suffocated because he’s unable to express his thoughts freely, because he’s in the company of strict religious people. The Fez hat he wears is a symbol of spiritual devotion, and signifies he’s on the righteous path. So, why would he steal swords? Swords represent thoughts, ideas, and how we communicate with the spirit. Therefore, he’s depicted here running away with his thoughts. He holds two swords in his right hand just as if he’s holding an ink pen. This shows us that he finds it better or even freeing to express his ideas when he writes them down as opposed to speaking his mind to the Islamic sect, who most likely shut down his progressive ideas. So, for me, when I draw this card it regards writing as opposed to speaking. It suggests communication via text messaging, email…..etc. Or advises to write your ideas down, such as a blog, books, or something similar.

So I ask the Tarot what does the collective need to know this week? And this guy appears. Normally I read him as Libra, (Cardinal Air) as well as Master of the element (Air - Mind) so he is a mastermind. Librans are intellectual, high achieving and usually like to be in control of decision making - even though the decision process can be pain-staking. Are there decisions you're having to make this week that are in alignment with this energy? Do you have to sign an important document? Libran energy also being connected to legal matters, contracts and binding agreements that are significant. Whatever that might be for you the end game is balance and harmony. You're wanting to use the sword to discern. Understand that tough calls are usually required for change. If you're tired of feeling that something is unresolved or needs your attention, perhaps this is the week to address it? There is a much deeper connection to the butterfly as well and it's position on the card. Can you guess what it is? Drop a comment and share your thoughts if you will.
