My aluminum chicken feeder broke, so I drilled new holes and added new nuts and bolts. I saved myself $30 and a trip into town to Tractor Supply! Is anyone working on any little...or big...projects right now?
Nice work on the repair simple fixes like that can definitely extend the life of equipment and save money. If you ever decide to take on more upgrades, I do a lot of work with small-scale farm hardware and maintenance planning. A lot of people don’t realize there are a few low-cost adjustments you can make that prevent the same issues from coming back later (corrosion points, stress placement, vibration loosening, etc.). If you ever want, I can share a quick reference file/checklist I use for assessing repairs like this just let me know.
I finally harvested the last my pepper pepper plants. I'm stringing some up to dry for pepper flakes and to grind into powder. I'll make hot sauce from the rest of them. Has anyone ever tried this?
