Prayer request
I am needing some advice and Prayer. We recently got evicted from our home about a month ago, and we are staying with my wife's sister and her husband. Which I will say has been a bit difficult of being threatened to be kicked out. The Husband thinks I am lazy and won't work. And the sister in law was getting mad over everything I do. I currently have no job because of some health problems I am going through. I cannot really work a physical job, but I was planning to do Uber, Lyft, and other things to make money to get back on my feet. I have a down payment for a vehicle, but the vehicle I need for rideshare programs has to be a certain year and have no cosmetic damage. It has to be presentable for passengers to ride in. When I did Lyft before, I made quite a bit of income, but all of it went toward the rental car, so I need to get my own vehicle. The problem is that even though I have a down payment, I do not currently have a job. I would have one once I got the vehicle, but no car lot will sell to me or even consider me right now because they want at least three to four months of income history or show that I make at least $2k to $4k a month to show I can afford the payments. Which I don't have. So I am needing help, either with taking over payments on someone’s vehicle or finding another option. I have even looked into paying cash for one but no luck because it's out of the price range I have for the type of vehicle I need, which is 2011 or newer, is more expensive than what I have available. I am also paying rent where I am staying, and I am about to have to pay it again. If I keep paying rent instead of getting a vehicle, I will not be able to move forward. I have looked into other places for help with getting a car, but I have not had any success. I did put in applications for a car also in the place where they give a car to you. So I am reaching out for prayer and any advice anyone can give.

@Eric Markum sorry. It made stuff like this even harder when you don’t have community. Might have to get out and beat the streets and take something to get moving in a direction. What have you done in the past. What are you good at? What are you passionate about?

@Eric Markum keep your head up. Have you reached out to all your friends and family for connections to a job or maybe them lending you a car for a month to make some $$.
Repeat or Fulfill
If someone told our church handyman, “Take this brush and gallon of paint, go outside and paint the pastor’s name on the church sign”, and he went outside and wrote “The pastors name” on the sign, he might get fired! They don’t mean for him to repeat their instructions, they intend for him to fulfill their instructions. They meant for him to write “Calvin Hall” on the church sign. Matthew 28:19 are the instructions. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." In water baptism, the apostles didn’t repeat Jesus’ instructions, they fulfilled His instructions. In every example in the Book of Acts they properly fulfilled the instructions to ”baptize in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” by evoking the name of Jesus in baptism. Don’t repeat the instructions - fulfill the instructions!!

@Calvin Hall I read it, and was seeking clarification. What might be clear and obvious to you may not be to others. Trying to understand what you mean and why that is important enough for you to post. If I could have asked my questions differently, how should I have done so?

I love that verse and have lately been focused on the fact that He is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or image, ACCORDING TO HIS POWER THAT IS AT WORK IN US. He is in us, working all the time and can and will do immeasurably more. Wow! How do we decrease and let Him increase in our life? Reminds of Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."
