Last Night’s Reflection: Vision That Builds, Not Just Inspires 📌
Last night’s live session from The Sheikh CEO was a powerful reminder that vision is more than inspiration, it’s about building foundations that others can stand on. Vision and Foundation, one idea that really stood out was the role of Tourism, Trade, and Transport (TTT) as key pillars of sustainable growth. It made me think: true leadership is not just about seeing the future, but about creating the systems that make that future possible. Grateful for the insightful session with Dr. Gloria Esoimeme and Dr. Aalia Al-Barwani. I encourage everyone in this community to stay engaged, share your reflections, and be an active part of the conversation ❤️ there’s so much we can all learn from each other.

Thank you for sharing! For all those who missed this, it would be great to watch the replay on YouTube.
Leadership & Execution
This week is about one thing: turning clarity into action. The Sheikh CEO shows leadership not as ideas, but as execution under pressure. 🧠 Key idea: Leadership isn’t about how many ideas you have It’s about what actually gets done. - Decisions > intentions - Systems > personality - Clarity > speed without direction 🤍 Reflect: - How would you define leadership in one sentence? - Is it more system-driven or personality-driven? - What creates speed without chaos?

Thanks for sharing! Leadership is the ability to create a vision, inspire people to take ownership and achieve that vision within a set time.
Dream of big finishes
All too often, when we set a goal, we can feel held back by focusing too much on how to start. We get caught up in the details, leading to what’s often called “analysis paralysis.” The CEO Sheikh’s perspective; that the bigger your vision, the greater your achievement, encourages us to dream of big finishes rather than getting stuck on small beginnings. What I take from this is the importance of focusing on our goals instead of our circumstances or obstacles. That shift allows us to move forward with clarity rather than getting lost in the weeds. It’s also a reminder that regardless of our circumstances, we all have the ability to use our imagination in powerful ways... to envision future success and create new possibilities.

This is very powerful! The ability to have a great vision even when the beginning is small is what separates excellence from mediocrity. It is a skill to know how to navigate through the weeds with clear vision. I’m really enjoying this book.
Clarity - Refections from Lagos, Nigeria
We all go through failures, detours, and disappointments on the way to achieving our goal. Page 70 of Sheikh CEO, emphasizes clarity as a key principle in navigating these temporary setbacks. We can’t always avoid setbacks but we can learn to navigate through them with a clear sense of direction. That stood out to me. Because setbacks don’t usually stop us. Confusion does. When the path gets hard, it’s easy to question the goal and lose focus But clarity forces a different posture. It asks us to pause and ask: - Is this still the goal? - Why did I start? - What actually matters here? Clarity doesn’t remove difficulty. It removes distraction.

Something to think about today 🤍
Not every vision fails because it’s “too big.” Sometimes it just never becomes clear enough… or bold enough to act on. Curious where everyone stands on this 👇 🗳️ What holds people back the most when it comes to their vision? No pressure😊, just vote what feels real to you. 💬 And if you want to go a little deeper, share why. These conversations are where things start to shift.

These are legit reasons why people fail to accomplish their dreams. Even though this poll is asking to pick one reason, sometimes it is a combination of multiple factors which overwhelms us and prevents us from taking those actions that yield results.
