Microgreens
Does anyone grow microgreens on their tower garden ? I bought a microgreen tray off Amazon and tried special paper as a substrate but the roots couldn’t grip the paper well and it didn’t work. I then tried a metal mesh substrate and it worked well but the roots got pyithum just sitting in water and I don’t have the will to change the water everyday. I wondering about trying just Rockwool but then that is an expensive way to grow microgreens as you would go through a lot of Rockwool. Also considered adding them to my tower garden as in sowing the seeds directing into the Rockwool and just sticking them on the tower. I’m here for the easy least hands on method here. But it seems like a waste of a port using it for that. Any suggestions gratefully received!

@R Michael Moore I've used the metal mesh and silicone grow mats and they just don't grow well. Germination is good but getting them to grow healthy green leaves when I put them in light is hard. Also they get wet and mushy around the mat too easily. I think I could grow them well in another medium such as coco coir or rock wool but then it becomes a lot more expensive. Maybe coco coir would be best

Does anyone else have a Tower garden home. Would love to see pics and videos. It’s currently 0 degrees Celsius outside and snowing so growing indoors is my only option

That looks awesome Kathy! Well done on the successful grow
TG Lights
Recently we've had friends mention the TG lights can harm our eyes. What's your thoughts on this Chad, do you recommend protective goggles?

@Beth E I asked the person I bought it from if I needed eyewear with the lights and she said no.
Nutrients for Dummies
Happy Friday my friends and happy Halloween! I pray you are all safe and have a wonderful weekend!! I wanted to ask a question. Is there a video or resource/video here that's for dummies on how to switch from the two part (A and B Tower Garden products) nutrients to the 3 part @Chad Miner recommends? I'm watching the videos, bought a EC/PH AC Infiity tester and that's as far as I got. I don't know how to pivot to A use the meter, and B how to switch to the General Hydronics nutrients. Thanks for the help in advance my friends!!

@Beth E I still can’t get my head around a three part if you have different stages of plant growth on the same tower. I know my yields will not be optimal with the two part but I have seen successful growth in other YouTube videos and fb groups using the two part.
I’m back in the game
I’ve replanted all my seedlings with RO water this time. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻. I’m planning placement. I have home tower with the top section being small (for baby greens etc). I read somewhere herbs should go middle and top should be lettuce as herbs need more air flow. Can lettuce grow in these small ports ?
