Laughing Face
When I joined the club I told members that I am not good at faces. A few weeks ago Christina sent out a link to make Laughing faces which I have been dying to have a go at. She is not perfect but to me she is beautiful. Eyes are a little wonky.

Ava’s 6th birthday
I’m glad this weather is cooler but not looking forward to next week - temperatures are back up and a 2 tier cakes needs making 🙈 But here’s one I made last night, along with 30 cupcakes. I think I’ve made at least 3 of Ava’s birthday cakes now ❤️

Emma congratulations Ava must of jumped for joy when she saw it. The tree trunk is beautifully decorated, makes me think that next year you will be modelling the the fairies.🧚🏼♀️

I do enjoy hearing every ones feed back as we learn lots of little different ways to improve our models and make them more interesting. I am sorry to report that I don't have cold hands, when I was working I often warmed other peoples hands up. I have a fan going (Nick set it up to keep the dog cool). I used Saracion paste, but I cut it up into tiny bits, which meant that I could kneed it together quicker so was handling the paste for less time. I have never used the micro oven as I am worried that it will get to hot and become a problem to kneed. I also made the body and legs first and left them to dry while I was away, so when I got back I only had to make the head and do the spots. I used a smoother which helped to keep the paste cool as I did not have to handle so much. Hot hands are brilliant for making the balls nice and smooth.

The Giraffe Is ready To View (Ask Questions & Submit Giraffe Here By 3rd August)
As requested I went with a standing Giraffe! Its a little more challenging, but lots to learn and I'm sure this will open up a new skill to make other fun standing toppers. @Sue Bull I did mine in two parts , I did the legs and body first. Went on a 10 cruise and then made the head and did the painting. I did wonder if the body would still be in one piece when we got home. 🦒🦒
