For me, after a lot of hunting- Check these out — AUDIO- TECHNICA - ATH-M40x I’ve had these for a bit and honestly are great! “Other producers” using these in the circles I created/worked with got me on to them. Here are some small specs- “Outfitted with 40mm dynamic drivers and an over-ear, closed-back design, the ATH-M40x headphones deliver a flat, accurate response and wide bandwidth (15 Hz to 24 kHz) while isolating you from outside sounds.” The other pair I have been impressed with, due to the flatness, are the VSX BY Solid State, on bypass mode/without the virtual studio tech. Although, using the virtual spaces for REFERENCE POINTS are nice, but I don’t mix with that on.
