Good morning! How are ya? + I have a new tool that is doubling my productivity.
Hey guys, How's your week going? Any wins or things that are exciting. The tool: Time Studies The past several days I've been infatuated with doing time studies - basically documenting every 15 minutes of my day, EVERY... SINGLE... 15 minutes of the day. Through that process I've been able to review my productive days and my unproductive days. Here's a couple of things that I learned from the time study - My most productive days are when I take the time to plan and then execute my plan. - My unproductive days are when I don't plan properly and when I talk on the phone + i end up scrolling and browsing the internet in general. But on my unproductive days I'm trapped because i don't want to plan. Why? because it's going to take me at least an hour and a half, and I already feel rushed to be productive that day because I already slept in cause I stayed up too late the night before. But now I KNOW(because of the time study) no matter what time I wake up I'll be unproductive without a plan So let me know your thoughts, and if you're interested in doing a time study, Heres how. - Get a spreadsheet. It can be Google Docs or it can be an app on your phone(you only need 2 columns - time of day & activity. - Set a timer on your phone for 15 minutes and repeat it every 15 minutes. - Write down what you do, what you just did, every time the timer goes off.

@Ryant Nelson For me it goes like this: 1️⃣ Know the story of the day Every day has a theme a win, a lesson, a moment worth remembering. I hit record with purpose so I’m not just filming randomness. 2️⃣ Set editing hours like non-negotiables I treat those editing blocks like a job. If it’s on my calendar, it’s getting done. No “I’ll get to it later” because later never comes 😅 3️⃣ Done is better than perfect Perfection slows you down. I’m all about progress and motion get it out, get better over time. 4️⃣ Protect my time If I don’t track where my hours go, they disappear. Time studies + vlogging together? That’s accountability on steroids. I’ve been doing this daily since last December and what I learned is: when you make the process part of your lifestyle, the results show up naturally. 🎥🔥
Hey guys how’s it going!?
A couple of things. 1. Honestly I feel SUPER guilty for not showing up in here everyday. 2. I’ve been overthinking showing up everyday. Not wanting to do so without having a lot of value to share. 3. RDM (my production company) is growing and we’re looking for more editors. :) 4. I miss ya’ll. Okay that was a few things. What ya’ll been doing? You been on my mind a lot.

Hey! I totally understand the feeling life has been lifing for all of us lately! I actually just transitioned back to the East Coast and I’ve been freelancing to stay afloat doing graphic design, creative direction, media directing, and film editing. Being a stay-at-home mom while running a business is definitely a juggling act, but I’m still locked in and growing. I’ve been looking for more remote editing opportunities, so hearing you’re looking for editors came right on time. I would love to reconnect and see how I can add value to the team again. always missed king —thank you for thinking of us. 💛 Always - Gi•Yani
