Clients aren’t looking for someone who has lived a flawless life. They’re looking for someone who understands what it feels like to face challenges and believes change is possible. Your role isn’t to have every answer or pretend you’ve mastered every area of life. Your role is to guide people toward discovering their own answers, using evidence-based tools, thoughtful reflection and genuine presence. Don’t let your messy chapters convince you that you’re unqualified. Often, they’re the very reason someone feels safe enough to open up to you. Your past doesn’t have to define you. But it can become one of your greatest strengths when you choose to use it with wisdom, compassion and purpose. The world doesn’t need perfect coaches. It needs authentic ones.
