✨ We had such a fun Boss Mare Club session last night!
While we didn’t do a ton of coaching, we had some real talk about getting started, building confidence, and finding the best ways to get those hours in to become a skilled equine-assisted coach. One big takeaway? Learning from a great teacher—not just a trainer—can make all the difference. I truly believe it's so important to work with someone who doesn’t just focus on riding, but who takes the time to teach you about horse behavior, herd dynamics, and the way horses think. Too often, traditional barns are all about the sport—get on, ride, compete. But coaching with horses requires something deeper. And honestly? Some of the best teachers I’ve had weren’t even professional trainers. They were people who took the time to listen to horses and help others understand them. But here’s the thing: just because someone communicates well with horses doesn't always mean they’re ready to hold WISE Conversations with clients. So now I’m curious...💬 What do you think it takes to prepare to be an amazing equine-assisted coach? And how would you guide someone who’s new to horses but feels called to this work? Drop your thoughts below — I’d love to hear from our Boss Mare herd! 🐴💛
