Happy Monday, Guitar Heroes! 🎸
Real talk — life has been pulling me in a lot of directions lately, and I haven't been showing up here the way I want to... But you know what I've been thinking about? You. Because I know how easy it is to let the guitar sit in the corner when life gets loud. I've been there. We've ALL been there. So here's your Motivation Monday nudge: You don't need a perfect hour. You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need 10 minutes today — pick up the guitar, play something you love, and remind yourself why you started. That's it. 10 minutes. Your guitar hero isn't built in one epic session — he's built in the small moments nobody sees, when you show up anyway even when life is busy and loud and pulling you in every direction... So tell me — are you picking it up today? Drop a 🎸 in the comments if you're committing to your 10 minutes. Let's hold each other accountable! 💪 More to come!

@Ricardo Ponce hey Ricardo!
Is there anybody out there…?!
Sorry guys, I’ve been crazy busy. I have three more shows from Tuck Everlasting tonight, tomorrow evening and Saturday evening. And yesterday I had a pop up guest worship event I did and I was able to have lunch with one my spiritual fathers afterwards. Then next week I have a solo jazz gig next Saturday eve, and I’m auditioning for a worship director position that Sunday morning at a church about an hour away from where I live… I have so much to share with you guys… What are you currently working on?! Talk soon!

sus4 chords, often just called "sus" for short, are built with root, 4th, and 5th chord tones. The 3rd is suspended up to the 4th, that's what "sus4" means. Find these interactive diagrams at here: https://www.guitarthinker.com/lessons/open-sus-chords Very often in charts, especially modern worship, it will just show up as sus, and not necessarily sus4, which can cause confusion - ask me about this if not sure... The difference between these and add4 or add1 chords, is that the "sus" replaces the third of the chord with the 4th, whereas the add4 keeps the third and adds the 4th. Usually add11 works better especially in minor chords, because it may have enough separation from the third, normally a 1/2 step away, that it doesn't sound as dissonant. Questions?! If you do, let's get on a call and I'll demonstrate it for you...
