Those guys have some serious collars on those shirts 😁Glen died at 81 in 2017, George is 82 and still going, Glen's tone was so mellow, and his single line is no joke 😉

Yep Glen and his buddy Roy Clark were pickin' shredders 😉
Comping There Will Never Be Another You
Somebody help me do better I am learning Marc’s beautiful Chord Melody and that will help a lot. The scenario is with a small group with either a singer or soloists or both. Something tasteful & jazzy , unlike this busy , all over the place stuff. Should the voicings be closer together on the fretboard ? I have much to learn , so …

You look left-handed, and I could not see your Fretting hand, but it sounded cool 😉
Misty 4CE
Hello everyone, I'm back. I spent far too long working on this tune. But here's the result. To keep my wife from going crazy, I now need to focus on another tune. Your comments are always welcome. Thank you in advance.

@Martin Aust Great! How do you get the two videos to sync up? Are you using a MAC, because the sound is so good? Does everybody own a Strandberg? 😁

@Martin Aust Another MAC user! You would think I'd take the plunge. I do have an iMac27 in my studio, but I only use it for recording with Pro Tools as my DAW. I use PCs, Laptops because I film my lessons in my bedroom or out in my live studio (as opposed to my recording studio), so I have handcuffed myself with two high-powered Dell Laptops (32 and 64 Gigs of RAM), and for my livestreams, I use a Dell Desktop with 128 GB of RAM. One of these days, when the budget and wife permit, I will get a MacBook and get all the recording "How To's" from this great community. Just for informational purposes, for my Livestream, all the instruments or Mics go into an Onyx 16 Mixer with multichannel USB, into Ableton, which we mix down to stereo out from Ableton into Voicemeter Banana, into OBS, out to Restream (Multi Platform), out to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, etc. Here is the final product: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upWA6SSShn0

Etude 4.5
https://youtu.be/uSEsMqsWgyE I did this one in Bb instead of C. I plan to change keys now and then in order to avoid conditioning my hands and brain to just one key and position on the guitar.

@Philip Halton Ah Hah! Try alternate picking on all subdivisions and see how that feels?

@Philip Halton You could be right, but when I was doing the Etudes, the mentors were always quick to point out when I wasn't alternating picking. And in my studies with Troy Grady/Cracking the Code, it's always alternate picking, but then speed is the goal. In my Cliffs of Dover Etude 😅 I am studying Eric's picking choices, and he definitely sweep-picks, or more precisely, economy picks when it suits him, when changing strings, but by and large he alternate picks—just food for thought. I suppose there is no right or wrong; whatever feels best is usually right, huh?
