One of the things that my city does for Halloween is a thing called the Zombie Shuffle. It is basically a course that you sign up to run, avoiding zombies on the way. Local Teens volunteer to be the zombies. People sign up for time slots to run the course. It is sort of cute and wholesome before dark when the littlest kids run through it, but after dark it gets scarier and more ominous. It is in the park across from my house. It turned dark a little while ago so as I am sitting here working on a work/life schedule, I am listening to the screams of the undead

I have spent the last 8 hours (at least) beating myself up for not being more productive today. For not getting more done. For being lazy. But the fact of the matter is, I have been completely distracted. I called the vet first thing this morning because late in the day yesterday I found a lump on Puck's side. It is not insignificant. I have been with this veterinary clinic for more than 20 years and they have always been very responsive. Today, not so much. I was on call, waiting the whole day to run him over there to find out everything is ok (crossed fingers). Maybe doing my best today was not about powering through. It was not about getting it all done and making the changes I need to. Maybe today the magick was petting my cat, making sure he is not in pain, monitoring his appetite and energy and just being. I find it difficult to ever give myself that grace, but I do today because right now I am scared, I am feeling helpless and the most important thing in my life is a soul that only has me to care for him. Puck Yeah

Folkloring hit its next milestone! Only 24,998 until my nest milestone! Please give it a listen and let me know what you think!

I just want to give you a heads up that next week's live will be about Spell Sachets and Charm bags. If you want to make your own in the session, you will need to have some supplies ready, including a small bag, and some combination of herbs, crystals paper and a writing implement, charms, objects found in nature, small meaningful statuettes - or anything else meaningful to you that will fit in your bag! If you are unsure what to gather up for your specific intention for the spell, please message me and I will help you select the right things to include. (Click on the image below to see the whole thing)!

I am so excited - I just got my first paid speaking gig. Huzzah! It will be about Johnny Appleseed (who was a very interesting man)!
