Session 59 done.
That's the last one before the full Pokemon vocab list is out, every word in it will have been introduced by now. Curious to see how it actually holds up once I sit down and try reading with it, instead of just recognising words one at a time inside the app.

Who would you actually use the language with?
If you don't have a tutor, you still need someone to actually use the language with eventually. I've got friends I play ultimate with who speak Polish all the time. If I wanted to get better at Polish, I wouldn't need a tutor. I'd just need enough of a base to start talking to them. Who's your version of that. The person or group you'd actually use once you've got enough words to try. Doesn't have to be someone fluent. Just someone real.

What word won't stick for you right now?
I'm still mixing up prepositions and question words in Ukrainian no matter how many times I go over them. What's the word or concept in your language that just won't stick right now?

Session 41.
Prepositions and question words in Ukrainian, and something just isn't sitting. I keep mixing the words up. Realised that's not a red flag, it just means these ones need more repetition than the rest. If you're doing this yourself, that's the sign not to force every concept through at the same speed. Some things take longer to stick, and that's fine.

Session 33 done.
This week was colours. Ukrainian has a different feel to how I was learning them before. With Anki, I drilled the isolated word. Green. Blue. I knew it existed. I didn't know what it looked like inside a sentence. The app introduces them inside sentences from the start. First time I see a word, it's already doing something in a phrase. So when I come across it in natural content, I'm not just matching a flashcard image. I've already seen it in use. Small difference on day one. I think it compounds.
